- Hangar: The Mynock Rock's hangar allows for the Mynock Squadron to use the corvette as their home base. All twelve fighters can be held, plus an additional three ships by the three docking tubes on the ship.
- Sufficiently Armed: The corvette has enough weapons to stand alone in a one-on-one fight against another corvette and/or fighters with it's laser cannons and two turbolasers.
- Hull Space: With the addition of the hangar, several parts of the corvette had been removed, such as the main corridor and space for cargo and crew members, resulting in a slightly lowered crew.
- Lower Shielding: With the addition of the hangar, the shields required additional power to cover the added space of the hangar as well as shield the hangar bay doors. Without the needed space for an extra generator, firepower and engine power are lowered slightly to allow for capable shielding for the whole ship.
