- Segregated Finger-guards: A trait of all modern Lorrdian weapons was the segregated finger-guard, a minor aesthetic feature that separates the trigger finger from the other fingers when using the weapon.
- Secure: Like its predecessor the P60, the FSP2000 had a security system located in the weapon's grip. This security system was made up of a scanner that ran a split-second dermatoglyphic identification and genetic code scan as the user made contact with the grip, if the wielder did not pass both, the trigger would not fire and the energy cartridge would secure itself utilizing a mechanical locking mechanism.
- Rail System: A modular rail system was present on the weapon's receiver, this allowed for a glowrod, a laser sighting unit, or other devices to be mounted.
- Sentence: Disintegration: By consuming all of the potential power of an energy cartridge, the SFP2000 could unleash a single pulse to disintegrate a target.
- Unblockable: As a sonic weapon, the orange bolts of condensed sonic energy expelled by the P60 could overwhelm most standard defenses, bypass many forms of energy shields, and could not be blocked by lightsabers.
- Selective-Fire System: By way of selector switch, the SFP2000 could shift between a semi-automatic firing mode, a burst mode, and/or a fully automatic firing mode.
- Helmets Required: Lacking both silence and subtlety, users of the SFP2000 were required to wear sonic dampening helmets as constant use of the weapon without them could result in permanent, irreversible damage to the user's eardrums, optic nerves, and primary auditory cortex.
- A Rapier, Not a Long-Sword: A failing of sonic-based weaponry in brute-force applications was their lack of brute strength when compared to blasters. This was primarily exemplified against objects rather than individuals; with two-thirds of the power of a blaster, it required much more sustained fire to break through doors, walls, and other such physical obstacles.
- Unique Power Supply: Powered by vianite - a piezoelectric substance - resupplying these weapons proved difficult as the only source of vianite was the planet Lorrd. This rendered the weapon virtually unusable except to native Lorrdians and those with some means of obtaining significant quantities of the material.
Selective-Fire Project 2000, also known as "Mermeia" after the infamous virtual singer, was an indirect descendant of the P60 heavy sonic stunner; utilizing its predecessor's technical design framework extensively but ultimately differing significantly in purpose. While the P60 was designed to easily take down targets without any causalities, the SFP2000 was a weapon of war. Designed in crisis, the Mermeia was created as a front-line, primary weapon for the Lorrd Security Force should they ever be called upon to act as infantry in the defense of Lorrd.
Unlike the P60 which overloaded the senses of its target and had an intensity dial to scale the yield, the SFP2000 was designed to kill and nothing else. By concentrating sonic energy into a condensed mass and enveloping it in a plasmatic shell, the weapon fired bolts of orange 'light' that struck their targets with nefarious intent. First, the plasmatic shell would collapse and heat the impact site to utilize thermal expansion to increase the distance between molecules, then, the condensed sonic energy would use this impact site like a lightning rod to deliver tremendous amounts of energy into the target. This means of delivery was so deadly that with enough energy delivered to the target, it could cause such radical thermal expansion that the molecules constituting the target would vibrate so rapidly the target would disintegrate into base molecules. On normal intensities, the weapon utilized the same mechanics to rupture internal organs, shatter bones, destabilize equilibrium, disrupt concentration, and melt eardrums.
