In the time of the Old Republic, the city of Keldabe served as the capital of Mandalore. It was a site of cultural heritage, a place where all Houses and Clans lived harmoniously -- if you can call everyday barfights harmonious -- and strived towards a better life, together as one people and culture. Yet, as was probably expected of a warrior-race, Keldabe was destroyed in a civil war between the traditional Clan Leaders and a Pacifist movement in the waning days of the Republic. The ruins of Keldabe were left smoking, and the city of Sundari became the new capital.
While the Pacificists tried to shrug off and forget Mandalore's past, and Keldabe, there were the few who didn't. The few warriors, the few metalsmiths and gunsmiths who still practiced their trade, the few who remembered the glory days of the Mandalorians. It was not the way of the Mando'ade to seek peace, and so while the new government promoted prosperity and harmony, the secret sect continued on the old traditions. The MND-R03 Keldabe Precision Rifle was one of the many weapons made in secret, it's name a testament to the legacy of the once-great capital of old Mandalore. It was designed to be used by those who were patient, patient enough to know that this 'fad' of pacifism would pass, and the old ways would rise again. In the hands of a capable warrior, it is a fearsome weapon -- exactly as intended.
