OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a set of stealth armor made by Dynetech Industries
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Infiltration Armor
  • Weight: Very Light
  • Resistances:
- Blasters: Very High
- Kinetic: High
- Lightsabers: High
- EMP/ION: Very Low
- Elemental: Very Low

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Enhanced Stealth System: This suit was created to be a near-undetectable set of armor equipped with a complex cloaking system. The main composition of the suit is made of a trick material known as Baffleweave. The material effectively jams most sensors, rendering them useless when trying to search for electronic signatures attached to the suit. Leaving the suit unseen by sensors, the personal cloaking field that comes with the suit leaves the wearer invisible to the naked eye. With the entire set of armor working at it's full function the wearer will be both invisible to sensors and visuals.
  • Advanced HUD: The helmet to this set of armor is equipped with everything the modern day scout/infiltration agent could ever need. With an array of visual aid systems to help negotiate terrain and personnel the helmet is an extremely valuable piece to this armor. It also includes audio/visual recording to help the wearer collect and store data. Features are as follows:
- Interactive HUD
- Electrobinoculars & Rangefinder
- MFTAS
- Multi-spectral target assessor
- Comlink
- Thermal-vision
- Night vision
- Enviro filter

Strengths:
  • Reinforced : The Baffleweave in this suit has been set over a moderate layer of Songsteel and a shell spider bodyglove. Songsteel, an incredibly durable yet light metal is capable of standing against lightsabers and blaster fire. With the shell spider bodyglove as a final defense from blasters and vibroswords it makes for an extremely light weight and durable material.
  • Invisible: This armor is centered around being relatively undetectable by sensors and visuals. It is incredibly difficult to detect this armor on sensors or even see it when the cloaking field is activated.
  • Light Weight: Even with all of the materials packed into this set of armor it is still incredibly light. The Songsteel and shell spider silk are nearly weightless when compared to the much heavier metals standardly used for sets of armor.
Weaknesses:
  • EMP Susceptible: EMP/ION technology can play havoc with this suits systems. Along with the complex stealth system the armor has many auxiliary programs and functions that can contribute to an EMP failure.
  • Open Target: Unlike most stealth field generators, this armor does not host the generator around the waist. The stealth field generator is hosted on the back, running along the spine of the armor, making it a rather open target to enemy blaster fire.
  • Elemental Weakness: Heavy amounts of rain, snow, or extreme heat can tamper with the personal cloaking device attached to the suit. While the elements do not totally destroy the suit's ability to camouflage, it does create a noticeable distortion which can be seen by the naked eye.
DESCRIPTION
In the battlefield one of the most useful abilities is the ability to remain unseen and undetected. The Mark I Dynetech Stealth armor makes this ability a focal point. When equipped with this armor a soldier can be all but invisible to most forms of detection. Created for scouts and agents, it is also very resistant to blaster fire and even lightsabers.

The first few designs of the suit were far from the end product. In the beginning the layout of the suit was going to be much more powerful and even have a number of advanced weapon systems tied into it. However, over time Dynetech realized it would be much less costly and more effective to simply make a lightweight armor that could aid in infiltration and reconnaissance. The original suit was going to be made from a mixture of thick Beskar playing and Titanium joints to make it nearly indestructible.

Stepping away from the dense, heavy metals, Dynetech instead moved on to a much lighter material. Songsteel, a tricky but light metal replaced the Beskar plating. Drawn and tempered into a thin lining of microscopic metallic rings, the Songsteel was used as an inner lining for the armor. Underneath, the wearer would have a thin body glove made from she'll spider silk. Also a highly resistant material, the bodyglove would further protect the user from harm. The exterior skin of the suit was made from an interesting, dark material known as Baffleweave. The baffleweave would distort most sensors attempting to lock onto the suit’s electronic signatures, making it undetectable by many systems.
On the back of the suit is a thin device that runs along the user’s spine. It appears to be some form of metallic vertebrae with a small power pack in the center of it’s path. This is the suit’s only stealth field generator, which can easily form an invisible field surrounding the wearer. Exposed, having little protection other than the thin coating of Songsteel weave, it was always seen to be a rather open target. Any damage to the stealth field generator will end in the device being utterly useless and dysfunctional.

This prototype is extremely expensive to create and even more difficult to repair due to the Songsteel weave used within it. However, it is still one of Dynetechs favored projects.

Blasters: Extreme
  • From the Factory rules:
    2. The Armor Rating Extreme will require the submission to be UNIQUE. This armor rating is considered very strong and are usually dealing with unique items that should be restricted to Player Characters only.
  • Drop the rating to Very High, please.
