SPECIAL FEATURES

High Modularity Laser Disruptor able to be converted from semi auto to burst fire.

Can be converted from short to long barrel for improved range

Can be converted from rifle to scatterblaster

Multiple types of scope can be attached, such as night, thermal, and telescopic

Nearly impossible to destroy thanks to experimental plastics

Extraordinary accuracy.

Does not possess overheating issues of normal disruptors

High chance to pierce high quality armor.

Strengths:

Highly modular: Modular in a way that rivals the infamous Clone Commando Rifle, The disruptor can be anything from a single to burst shot carbine or longarm to a single to burst shot scatterblaster. Multiple types of scopes can also be added.

High damage: Great chance at piercing heavy armor of high quality though not lightsaber resistant metals. Being a Laser Disruptor as opposed to a typical disruptor, if armor is pierced, it has a chance of causing heavy damage via thermal and microwave radiation in concentrated doses in a very small radius of of impact against tissue that will possiblynecrotize anything at the center and could do severe damage to surrounding tissue in a ten centimeter radius after that. Even if the target survives they are in incapacitating agony. (Subject to discretion of opponent in pvp)

Accuracy: Pin point. With the proper scope it even makes a great sniping weapon

No overheat: An experimental high capacity heat sink ensures it will not overheat no matter how many times its fired with a full clip and all thermal energy is safely dissapated over time

Apocalypse Proof: Experimental industrial plastics and reinforced internals ensure it will function in almost any environment, and is very difficult to damage by dropping or even direct kinetic impact

Semi-decent recoil: Not low but not high.

Weaknesses:

Low ammo: Twelve shots in single shot setting carbine setting, three in scatter blaster setting, ammo for it will quickly deplete, especially if set to burst fire

Slow reload: Takes 007 seconds to fully reload and cycle the new gas into the rifle

Heavy: The price of its heat sink and durability

Not a true disruptor: As it is a laser disruptor, it is not as fully lethal as a true disruptor. A shot anywhere save an unprotected head or heart is not immediate or even assuredly fatal, provided they receive medical attention in time.

DESCRIPTION

Restricted to members of the CIS military or affiliated allied organizations, the Adaptive Laser Disruptor Carbine is a heavy damage laser weapon capable of piercing heavy armors of very high quality. Not hampered by traditional disruptor limitations...at least, not too hampered anyway--the weapon excells in its modularity for multiple scenarios. Developed to serve as a specialist assassination weapon, the real problems are the weight, low ammo and slow reload. But for better than average chances at piercing heavy armor it is well worth the price. Kept off the civilian market due to its lethality, even the flippant advertisements of MasqueradeWorks couldn't find a way to joke about disruptors.

Two pounds shy of a bomb.
A little too much ambiguity in the ratings for my taste. Notably here:

This is not a valid rating.

Size: Varies (Small-Average)

I'd just go ahead and just put 'Average', because that is what we will be balancing it on over all.

Nine Lives said:
Effective Range: Varies (personal range, long)
Again, just put Long Range. It still covers closer distances.

Nine Lives said:
Rate of Fire: Varies (Single, 3 shot burst)
Not a valid rating. I recommend 'Average' if you want to balance it, however.

The highlighted section needs a bit more flexibility. Namely you need to make it clear that the affects are subject to the opposing player's discretion when used in pvp combat.

Oh, and again, please hyperlink the CIS faction in the affiliation section.
