Mercy , a Vigo of the Black Sun Syndicate and Quinn's childhood friend, gifted the choker when she asked Quinn to serve as her lieutenant — a gesture rooted in trust. The gift carried weight not only as a symbol of their agreement, but because Mercy had always been a constant in Quinn's life, one of the few who never saw her as just a Princess or her station.

Quinn refused to let it remain a simple token. Drawing on the Sith alchemy she learned under Taeli Raaf , she reforged the metals and set a kyber crystal into the piece, turning it into more than jewelry. The choker became an anchor — a foundation for a larger set of alchemized pieces she could create for those she valued.

Now, it carries Quinn's imprint in the Force, binding her to those she chooses to connect through it. Both a personal symbol of loyalty and a practical tool for her designs, the choker stands as a blend of memory, power, and intention.
