Mirage of Metal (Maelion)

[member="Maelion Liates"]

At this point Enyo had lost herself in the kiss. It felt so right, and real. She was lightheaded, all the doubts and anxieties she felt seemed to have melted away. The fact that Vess was a robot didn't bother her anymore. So what if Archangel had ordered her to do this?

While she kissed the HRD heatedly, her hand wandered. It was probably no surprise that it became acquainted with Vess' chest. It seemed Enyo was a breast girl, much like her template. Suffice to say, Vess had an ample, womanly bosom. She felt warm to touch. "Yes," Enyo said, almost in a whisper, when the droid's breath caressed her ear. "I want this...I want you."

And so, dear reader, the curtain of PG-13 descended. One imagines that Enyo had an enlightening and eventful night.

Though she lay in contact with her most of the night, when Enyo awoke Vess was absent. She was dressed and sitting at the table, just staring at the opposite wall, whether computing or in standby was not known.

However, she seemed to sense Enyo’s awakening for she looked at her and smiled. “Good morning, Enyo. How are you feeling?”

Thusly, the curtain was lifted. Suffice to say Enyo had been deflowered by a robot and experienced the power of the mechanical tongue. This was probably a rather unconventional way to lose your virginity. Conveniently, HRDs were very good at deep infiltration.

Slowly, Enyo awoke and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, feeling a little groggy. She shifted in bed, feeling the absence of Vess' warm body. "Vess?" she asked, then saw she was sitting at the table. It was just a little creepy, but nowhere near as much as it would have been if an unaging, teenage vampire had been watching her sleep. Twilight would have made Enyo murderous.

Her lips curled into a smile when she remembered last night. "I'm good, thanks. Very good. Last night was, well, amazing. Thank you," she blushed slightly. The query of how Vess was feeling was on her tongue, but then she remembered she was an HRD.

“I am happy to assist, Enyo,” Vess said with a smile. “I’m glad you enjoyed it, we are very capable at helping organics with all their needs.”

Rising, she produced some clothes. “When you’re ready, you have a meeting with Maelion. She has something she wants to show you.”

Mission accomplished. This infiltration operation had been a 100% success. Enyo was well on the way of becoming robosexual. Anyhow, on with the actual plot, before this post gets buried in musings about the mechanical tongue. "I may...take advantage of your help again," Enyo confessed, blushing a bit. However, then she was finally pulled out of her post-coital daydreaming when Vess handed her a pair of clothes.

"She's got a surprise for me? Well, that sounds fun." She was not being sarcastic. "Ok. I'll get ready. Can you help me get dressed? Bit difficult in a sling." Presumably Enyo got freshened up, then Vess helped her dress and she was on her way to meet her genocidal, mechanical auntie.

Vess indeed assisted gently and soon they were passing through the base to encounter Maelion.

The HRD turned as Enyo entered and the cold mask became a warm smile. “Good morning, Enyo. Did you have a good night?” she asked.

She led Enyo into a series of chambers and to a final sealed door. She paused there.
“I know things have been hard for you being the only organic here. However, we have something we’d like to show you.”

And so Enyo met Auntie Maelion again. The HRD was sweet in a frightening, genocidal way. As a matter of fact, the clone's family was more than a little messed up. No wonder the girl had some serious issues, though she was only aware of a few of them.

"Yeah, I slept very well. Vess was very...helpful," she blushed slightly. Fortunately, this was not the Kerrigan-Alcori household, otherwise there'd be plenty of trolling. She followed Maelion through the various chambers. They were all pristine and obsessively clean to the point of sterility.

However, they did not seem cold and lifeless to Enyo. She was being raised in an almost monastic way. Having never known luxury and been taught to look down on those who needed creature comforts, she didn't mourn its absence. "I have been a bit lonely, yes. I miss Phaedra," she confessed. "What do you want to show me? You didn't pick up another victim of Kerrigan's path of destruction, did you?" Enyo was very naive, but not stupid.

Maelion glanced at her, but made no reply to that last barb. Enyo was starting to develop personality and a questioning attitude. It could be dealt with.

The final door opened, and a white chamber of sterile tubes emerges. Most were empty, but one was full. In it, a blonde woman slept peacefully.

“Yes,” Maelion said finally. “This is another victim of Kerrigan, but also from others. Sith, Jedi, all of them. She was broken and did terrible things, but she was a victim of many as well. This is her chance to do better things. This is her chance to be better than she was. As you are a perfected mirror of Kerrigan so she will be the perfected mirror of…Kaelin Isandros.”

Maelion walked to the tank, head tilted to the side. “Her name is Amara Zarides. She will be your sister. She will be your responsibility to care for and bring into the world. In time she will be yours to train.”

It sounded like Maelion was telling Enyo about a new puppy she was getting. At least Amara would not need much in the way of toilet training and wouldn’t chew on socks as much!

Suffice to say, Enyo knew about Kaelin. Well, she knew what her mechanical caretakers had told her. She knew that the woman had been broken by Sith and done terrible things. However, Archangel had also taught her to believe that the Omega Protectorate had been an Evil Empire.

The door to the final chamber and she found herself facing a cloning tube. A beautiful, blonde woman slept in it. She looked so peaceful, serene and innocent, like a newborn baby, though she had the body and the face of an adult.

Now she was her responsibility. Enyo was both awed and nervous. "She's Kaelin Isandros' clone," she repeated, slowly walking towards the tube so that she could get a good look on her. "How did you acquire her DNA?" she asked, tracing a finger across the tube. Hello, little sister, she thought to herself.

"I'm a bit overwhelmned, but I promise to look after Amara and guide her. She won't fall back into her template's evil ways. I'm honoured by the responsibility," she found that she meant the words when they left her lips. "What are you going to tell her when she wakes up?"

[member="Enyo Typhos"]

“The Sith Lord Darth Shadow gave us what we needed. He intended to use her for his own ends, but he was destroyed before the project began. We will ensure that Amara is not mistreated and misused like the Sith used Kaelin.”

“We will tell her the truth; that she is the clone of a former Sith, but we have restored her so that she can lead a better life and assist in bringing down her mirror’s killer, Kerrigan.”
The truth…from a certain point of view.

“She is almost ready to be reborn. In two days she will awaken.”

Shadow. Naturally Enyo had heard about him. The mention of Sith filled her with disgust and revulsion, but then she focused. "The same man who tormented and turned her template into a monster," she spoke with clear disgust.

Brown eyes locked onto Amara. The young clone was still sleeping. She looked so serene and innocent. "I will be there for her when she wakes up. She won't be alone," she promised. Little did she know that Archangel would be implanting her with a control device, as they'd done with Enyo and Phaedra.

Maelion nodded. “Excellent. For now, return to your lessons and duties. I will summon you when it is time.”

As they turned back for the door Maelion spoke. “I am pleased that Vess has been useful for you. She will be there to assist you and Amara should you require it.”

Soon Amara would awaken….

At this point a time skip ensued. What happened in the interim? Well, Enyo got better at dressing herself, her arm healed a bit and she finished reading her novel. Vess was there to help her adjust and play the role of good, attentive friend. As much as an infiltration droid could.

Then the happy day had finally come. Today, Amara would be born. She would have all the potential of Darth Keraunos, but none of her depravity. A perfect mirror, she would play a big role in bringing about the Age of Steel. Anyhow, at the appointed time, Enyo was led to the cloning chamber. Anticipation was building up inside her as she entered the room, where the final steps were being made to awaken the latest member of the Archangel Clone Brigade.

And so the day of awakening came. Enyo was fetched and led back to the chamber whilst complicated things started to happen inside the tank.

Gradually, the liquid in the tank was drained away until the blonde figure was held up only the harness around her body, the breathing mask covering her face. Slowly she was lowered to the floor and the glass tube slid down into the floor.
She still looked so peaceful, still asleep.

Then Vess stepped forward and injected something into Amara’s arm.

Slowly, but with a sudden growth in pace, the naked woman suddenly started to move, twitch, and her eyes opened.
Immediately she shut them again, pawing at them as the bright light dazzled her.

Vess laid a hand on the girl’s shoulder as a blanket was draped over her. “Shh, it’s alright, you’re safe.”

She looked to Enyo to come and add some organic understanding to this difficult time.

In a way, it was like bearing witness to a birth. Of course, Amara was a clone. She was born in a cloning tube, not a mother's womb, but that did not make her any less natural. Or at least that's what Enyo thought. Her little sister would be loved.

The little one was uncertain and confused, as should be expected. Enyo had been the same. "Hey there, you're among friends," she said softly, speaking in her most empathic tone when she stepped forward. She laid a gentle hand on the clone's other shoulder. "I'm Enyo. We're here to help you. Your name is Amara."

At this point, Enyo noticed that Amara had a small, healing cut along her spine. She furrowed her brow, looking equal parts confused and concerned. "Why does she have a cut there?" she asked Vess quietly. Poor thing did not know it was because of a chip.

Vess gently stroked the healing wound. “Clones do not have antibodies to diseases that birth children receive from their mothers. Therefore we insert little medical dispensers below the skin with the newly created to monitor their immune systems and add in the necessary antibodies.”

This may prompt questions from Enyo about whether she had such a thing too…but even if she did, what of it? HRD were exceptionally good at lying because they had no facial expressions to give them away.

However, Amara herself stirred, looked up at Enyo. “I…I…am…Am…ara.” She moved her jaw, forming the words again, this was after all only the first time she had spoken. “I…am…Amara,” she said, clearer.

“En-yo…you are my sister. I…remember you.”

“The flash learning process is quite extensive,” Vess commented. “She knows all the basics.”

[member="Amara Zarides"]

"Does that mean I have one, too?" It sounded so logical to her...yet suspicion could not help swelling up inside her. Even if it was true, it was yet another thing Archangel had not told her about. However, Amara was waking up and needed her. This probably stalled further conversation about Archangel's medical practices. Flash learning was a convenient way of imparting a lot of information. It was also useful to move the plot along because you could keep the exposition to a minimum.

"Yes, I'm Enyo Typhos. You're older sister. Well...a couple months older. You're at an Archangel base. You're safe here," she said soothingly, gently stroking the woman's blonde hair. "Vess, can you get her something to eat and drink? And some clothes." Unlike Siobhan, Enyo had a thing called modesty.

Vess didn’t answer Enyo’s first question. For a droid with perfect hearing it seemed capable of unaccountably not hearing things she didn’t want to answer.

Instead she headed to a cupboard and produced some light clothes and towels.
Putting them down beside Enyo she dried Amara off gently, yet without any sort of emotion or romance.
Amara looked up at Enyo. “Thank you. We will be good friends. Sisters,” Amara said, smiling.

She tried to sit up and reach for the clothes, but soon flopped down again. She was kitten weak, her muscles not used to strain.
“I…appear to need your help. I’m so sorry to be a bother,” she said with a perplexed look.

What are you not telling me? The clone was naive, but not stupid. So it did not escape her attention when Vess dismissed her question by outright ignoring it. Suspicion swelled up inside Enyo. She remembered all too well how Archangel had kept hers and Phaedra's true origins secret from them. She did not like being kept in the dark. However, it seemed she would not get the chance to dig, because Amara needed her right now. She suppressed a sigh. "Yes, we'll be best friends," she said, smiling. Her doubts would have to be put into abeyance. Amara was weak, vulnerable and needed her right now.

"You're not a bother at all. You'll be stronger soon, just give it some time. I'll help you dress," she encouragingly patted Amara on the shoulder. Picking up the clothes, she went about the task of helping Amara get dressed. Luckily Enyo's injuries had mostly healed by now.

Amara let herself be dressed, staring up at the ceiling. When it was done she still lay there a moment.
“I know so much…but have never done anything. I know what it means to walk, but I have never done it. That sounds fun.”

“Enyo, dear sister, would you be able to help me to a bed? I have just woken up, I know, but I feel so indefensibly lazy right now…and hungry. I am so hungry I could eat…hmm…one sixteenth of a nerf. Could you get me a nerf burger, sweet sister, and I will love you forever more!”

Vess gave Enyo a puzzled look, but offered to take half the clone’s new weight so they could move her to a recovery room.
