Manufacturer: Aurora Industries
Model: Mimetic Hydrargyrum
Affiliation:
Aurora Industries
Modularity: None
Production: Mass-produced

Material: Denantium, gallium, indium

Strengths:
+ Has the ability to shift shapes when an electrical current is passed through it, including temporarily solidifying into a solid state due to the denantium
+ Is able to take slugthrower rounds and incorporate it into the alloy
+ Can withstand several blaster bolts
+ Is easy to manufacture due to the common metals that go into its creations
Weaknesses:
+ While it can withstand a blaster bolt, every shot taken evaporates more of the alloy, and it cannot stop a lightsaber
+ The alloy cannot stay coherent if exposed to extremely high temperatures or molten material
+ Corrosive agents, such as acids, will easily destroy the alloy
+ Extreme cold will cause the alloy to become brittle and will not return to its standard state until its temperature rises

Description:

In the process of developing Project Masquerade, Taeli and her engineers at Aurora Industries needed to create a new alloy for what they had planned. This alloy, the brainchild of Anomid Doctor Votoc, head of Advanced Droid Research at the company, fit every checklist that Taeli gave him and more for the project and would serve as a base for any future projects that would require the material.

The alloy consists of a combination of denantium, the same liquid metal that polydroxols consist of, gallium, and indium. This combination of materials was necessary due to gallium and indium have the odd capability to shift shape depending on what sort of electrical charge passes through it, which was important for Project Masquerade and its creation. It was also determined that the alloy would be much cheaper to produce, due to the abundance of the materials placed into it. The alloy can also temporarily solidify into a solid state with the properties of denantium if the proper electrical charge is channeled. The alloy is also able to take several blaster bolts, but at a cost that some of the alloy is evaporated by the bolt. Slugthrowers are mostly ineffective against it, and the alloy can even incorporate the fragments of rounds within it. This does dilute the standard alloy, but allows it to repair some damage done.

The alloy does have some issues though. Lightsabers can go right through, evaporating large amounts of the alloy. The alloy cannot stay as a coherent mass if exposed to extremely high temperatures or molten materials, the later of which completely destroys the alloy. Corrosive agents, such as acids, will also easily destroy the alloy. Extreme cold, such as being exposed to carbonite or liquid nitrogen, will cause the alloy to become brittle and will not return to its standard state until its temperature is able to rise.
