- Flattened blade
- Designed as a cutting weapon
- Able to cut through Beskar, Songsteel and other lightsaber resistant materials far more quickly than a standard lightsaber.

- The lightsaber's emitter focuses the energy of the blade on one side, creating an increase in the cutting power of the lightsaber along one side of the blade, the increased energy output attenuating the blade out into a sword shape.
- The cutting power of the blade is further boosted by the presence of a Lingan Crystal, the crystal letting the blades burn hotter, slicing through materials much more easily than a standard blade.
- The blade is still able to block blasters and other attacks like a normal lightsaber.

- The blade only has one edge that is only capable of piercing lightsaber resistant materials. While the flat of the blade and the back of the blade do function as a normal lightsaber, they lack the enhanced cutting power of the blade's edge.
- The different shape of the blade alters the drag, weight and feel of it, forcing the user to learn and adapt to the use of the new blades.
- The narrow blade makes it harder to block blaster bolts unless you turn the blade to use the flat of the blade, making it harder to use offensively

It started more of a proof of concept, an idea that John wanted to see if he could play with and do it. While he'd examined lightsaber technology before, he'd never actually constructed a lightsaber, what non-force user did? But, the thought niggled there at the back of his mind, surely a Lightsaber didn't have to be limited to being unable to cut through materials like Phrik and Songsteel, it was all a matter of applying enough energy to the task at hand. Firstly there needed to be enough power, Isotope-5 could handle that, funnelled through a specifically created emitters in order to create a master-crafted lightsaber blade. From the Songsteel hilt designed to take advantage of the lightness of the metal to allow the weilder to move the blade, taking advantage of it's cutting edge to the emitter and the powercell the entire saber was crafted for just one thing, to cut.
