Thanks, so, as for written, does that include the canon from the old republic franchise? Or no? I suppose some of it would cos there were novels about them...

I think it's unclear as to whether or not it includes The Old Republic. I think they're still ironing that out. It's hard for me to imagine them scrapping it when the game won so many awards and they're still trying to turn profit off of the MMO.
But so far, no word means "No." The only true canon, at this point in time, is what Marvel's released (starting in 2015) and that which would have been viewed by a mass audience, a la the movies and TV shows.
"Legends" is all the expanded universe prior to Disney acquiring ownership of the intellectual property.
