Jorga the Hutt
When life gives you Mandos, make Mando'ade
Intent: To replace Mia Monroe's hands.
Development Thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/31511-what-now/ (for story background; also, as the hands are for, and facilitated by, a Mandalorian, a beskar dev thread is not required)
Manufacturer: Rel Connory, working on a grant from Silk Holdings
Model: Prototype prosthetic KR-13
Affiliation: Independent
Modularity: No
Production: Unique
Material: Synthflesh, artificial nerves, spun-plast, micronized beskar, beskar bones, agrinium mesh, varistor
Description: Mia Monroe's hands, lost to the depravity of the Sith, required replacement, and her significant other rose to the challenge. Using Field Marshal Monroe's access to Mandalorian iron and qualified beskarsmiths, he commissioned precision-machined 'bones' for a prosthetic hand to rule all prosthetic hands. Critical wires are slotted inside the beskar bones at anatomically calculated angles, safe from most typical lightsabre strikes. The underlayer of skin is micronized beskar, like the coating of a crushgaunt, carefully segmented for a full range of motion. An ultrathin heat sink in the palm of each hand shunts heat away from the micronized beskar. The hands are fully capable of withstanding lightsabre strikes (though the synthflesh burns away with some pain involved), though their design is optimized for palm intercepts of blasterfire. Being cybernetics of a certain grade, the hands' servomotors give it a strength roughly five times that of a humanoid. In other words, Mia Monroe's hands -- though they look normal in most respects, and have a full range of motion and sensory ability -- are Mandalorian crushgaunts. An agrinium mesh and a chemical varistor combine to make Mia's hands effectively immune to electrical shock, ion damage, or electromagnetic pulse, at least in the short term. Sustained contact or repeated blasts would, of course, fry the circuits.
These hands are quite heavy, roughly three times as heavy as organic hands, at 1.5kg apiece. This weight is comparable to that of a short sword. For a Mandalorian Field Marshal and Force Master, the weight is not that much of a liability.
