PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Omnitissue is a vaguely pinkish clay-like 'gel' that can be applied to a wound. Upon sensing a damaged specimen, it will immediately begin to adapt to its biology in order to replace whatever is missing, whether that is a bit of skin, a heart, or a limb. While more or less reliable, the risk of rejection or other side effects rises with the complexity and severity of the injury. Under no circumstances should Omnitissue be allowed to take the place of a missing brain; death is still more likely than not and being a mindless zombie (or worse) is not all that much better.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
  • Instant Regrowth: Omnitissue can rapidly restructure itself into everything from skin to missing organs to heal the wounded.
  • Risk of Rejection: Omnitissue attempts to perfectly mimic the subject's own biology, but it is by no means infallible.
  • Alien Biologies: Omnitissue restores humans just fine, but the results are so-so for 'less standard' beings.
  • Missing Data: Omnitissue can produce undesirable results in unusually heavily injured subjects.
DESCRIPTION
Almost any injury can be treated with the right equipment, but such procedures are often slow or at the very least too slow for battlefield duty and the like. In their wisdom, Vysh-Kolluri's bioengineers understood that sometimes one just doesn't have time to grow back a cloned limb the normal way.

The solution to this profitable conundrum was Omnitissue, sometimes referred to as 'stem cells on steroids'. This unappealing gel-like stuff is able to reshape itself to replace skin, flesh, bones, kidneys, and even entire legs. Of course, the more it has to replace and the less information it has to go on, the greater the risk of undesirable results - emergencies are no place for squeamishness, however, for a mutated leg can still (probably) walk!

Omnitissue should not come into contact with corpses, especially brainless corpses. The consumer is culpable for improper use.
