Strengths:
Yet, the Mandalorian influence is heavily visible in the armament used for the blastboat. Initially, the maneuvering jets have been added at the sacrifice of additional armament due to clan Varad's home being the nebulae and asteroid field known as the Chiloon Rift. A necessary adaptability to one's location is vital if the vessel is to be successful in its operations.
Secondly, the use of a composite-beam laser similar to that on the LAATs is for two purposes - clearing debris and smaller asteroids in the way but also a viable weapon in starfighter hunting. This makes the blastboat a decent weapon against swarm fighters and interceptors.
From the defensive point of view, the metals used in its hull plating and their thickness are an additional strong barrier along with the deflector shields which are powered by capable and strong reactors. Moreover, the polarizing field insulation provides a high degree of resistance against EMP and Ion attacks.
Intent: Develop the vessels that clan Varad will be using and extend Varad Astronautics' portfolio.

Strengths:
- Blastboat-class: Designed, more or less, after the notorious GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat, the Meviik-class is created to fill in the gap of a vessel capable of delivering heavy damage and withstanding heavy damage with rather average sacrifice to speed and maneuvrability.
- EMP/Ion Resistance: Due to the polarizing field insulation, the Meviik-class Blastboat is highly resistant against EMP and Ion attacks upon it.
- Upgraded Maneuvrability: To up clan Varad's space game, Meviik Varad, after which this vessel is named after, had insisted that there are more maneuvering thrusters inserted to increase the maneuverability to a better level. The motive behind such a decision is due to clan Varad's home location - the Chiloon Rift. Often maneuverability may be the deciding factor in such a place when it comes to survival. This has in turn made spots eligible for armament to be dropped.
- Less Armament: The Meviik-class Blastboat has less armaments than a typical blastboat for the purpose, as earlier stated, of having a higher level of maneuverability in the close-to-impossible to navigate Chiloon Rift.
- Jack of All Trades: Filling in the gap of fleeting doesn't always mean that the vessel is a specialist. The blastboat's weakness is that it is not. It is a very versatile vessel, that is correct, but it is not designed to have a specific target against which to be strong against.
