Rationale:
When James went on a recent spending spree to add to his fleet and obtain supplies he found something incredibly lacking that he felt was imperative; astromech droids. To fix this, he began to whole sale buy up everything he could on Astromechs, most were old and out of date.
Of course, as James sees most problems, he sought out experts to hire and develop better, stronger non-combat droids. He sought out to hire the best in non-combats droids, focusing mostly on those that would be able to repair ships, aid in piloting ships, and translate for his company, since his company would find themselves on the fringes of space in wild places where languages are all of strange dialects that few know.

MMI operates on a two front basis; first they work through buying a variety of used droids, primarily astromech though some are repair and protocol droids. In addition to selling these, the company is devoted to create the next generation of astromech and non-combat droids. These droids are not created for combat explicitly, as james feels this market is over saturated. Instead he feels the need for auxiliary droids shall be filled Through this company.
