STRENGTHS
Expert Smuggler: She knows how to move goods, weapons, and people through the most dangerous routes in the galaxy while staying under the radar.
Tactical: Raised in the undercity of Taris, Merynn learned to outmaneuver her enemies through precision and forethought rather than brute force.
WEAKNESSES
Trust Nobody: Her deep-rooted suspicion, while a survival mechanism, makes it nearly impossible to form true alliances or maintain long-term loyalty among her crew.
Dark Ancestryc: Though she hides her ancestry, the weight of her people’s history still influences her, fueling dangerous decisions based on pride or vengeance. As an Evereni, many people have been suspicious of her species, especially those who have recollected the atrocities of Marchion Ro and his family.
HISTORY
No one remembers when Merynn Rade arrived on Taris, only that she survived what most wouldn't. Raised in the lower levels among scavengers, refugees, and broken dynasties, she learned early that names were burdens and truth was a liability. Rumors say she came from a people long vanished or damned, a lineage whispered of in cautionary tales. She never speaks of it. What matters to her is what she became: a sharp mind, a steady shot, and a ghost that learned how to own the shadows.
In time, she took on the title of the Archoness—a mantle of cold authority, not inheritance. Under this name, she built a reputation smuggling rare tech, blackmailing mid-tier warlords, and carving a place for herself in the vacuum between syndicates. Her ship, sleek and disguised, became a symbol of silent precision. When Black Sun came calling, she didn’t kneel—she negotiated. Now she operates within their sphere, not as a subordinate, but as a partner of necessity and calculation.
To most, she is a cipher wrapped in armor and precision—a mask with no face beneath. Her past is erased by design, her words calculated, her alliances transactional. Yet behind the visor and title is someone who remembers exile, silence, and the slow burn of a legacy too dangerous to name. Merynn Rade did not inherit power. She claimed it, reshaped it, and became the Archoness not to rule—but to ensure she would never be ruled again.
