Meridian Station is a privately-controlled luxury casino resort station owned through Meridian Crown Holdings, Ltd., and controlled by Selim Kadir. It was developed as the successor to Kadir's earlier casino ship, Ravelle, expanding the concept of a mobile high-end gaming and hospitality venue in a fixed location. Kadir leveraged himself to the hilt to get the financing to engage the highly regarded Denon Sunwire shipwrights to ensure his exacting demands around safety, security, and luxury could be achieved.
The station is nearly two kilometers square (1,850 meters wide by 1,850 meters long, to be exact, with its total height measuring 1,500 meters from sublevel to the top of the Crown Spire). It rises in a tiered structure toward the central Crown Spire, where the owner's penthouse suite sits at the apex of the station.
The station is organized around a clear upstairs-downstairs structure. Deck 0 serves as the public arrivals concourse where guests, visitors, crews, and conference attendees are processed through what functions as the grand, visible front doors of the resort.
