HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Merchant Federation of Cato Neimoidia is a brand new institution, having been established in 851 ABY. This is not a totally new government, but more of a reformed government from its former shape. It was realized during the alliance with Commenor and other systems in the thousands parsec wide alliance that Cato Neimoidia's government had drifted away from the tenets that had made Cato Neimoidia great, a strong corporate sector and unchecked mercantile operations. So, as the Commenor Systems Alliance receded, Cato Neimoidia reformed its government at the Conference of Tarko-se, 23,791. It created the Corporate Council and granted new liberties to the formerly powerless states of Cato Neimoidia. Its interim leader, voted upon by the Congress of the Territories at the time, was Urli Igab.
