Description: Every fleet needs support craft and for The Primeval this resulted in the Mendacity-class. Although considered a frigate, this large corvette is is well-balanced and featuring a long-ranged ion weapon built into the hull. With this the vessel lacks proper capital weapons such as turbolaser batteries, and only has a few defenses to protect itself from starfighters.

Additionally, to meet speed requirements the ship is fitted with an overly large engine that’s exposed from the rear making it vulnerable when ambushed. Given these facts the starship makes up for these disadvantages by being able to attack from a distance whilst avoiding the range of other ships. At that, the Mendacity class’ role is to cripple the ability of enemy warships to allow the short-ranged attack craft to move into striking distance.
