The Gilded Halls of Ruusan had fallen silent since the conclusion of the first round of the Galactic Kaggath. Winners and losers were selected not based on their abilities, but rather on the amount of credits that could be thrust into the faces of the announcers to secure a favorable decision.

He stood at the heart of it all, turning slightly to examine himself in each of the seven mirrors arranged in a half-circle. Each mirror was angled just enough to reflect the light against his cheekbones and polished collar. "Flawless," he murmured, not out of necessity for validation, but simply because it felt satisfying to say it aloud.

Though his mood soon turned sour.

"Where are they? They have the audacity to keep Prince Avari waiting." His tone was as sharp as his gaze, which glimmered a deep yellow, subtly influenced by the dark side coursing through his veins. It wasn't anger, as that would make him seem desperate, but it certainly stirred his irritation.

He had called upon two individuals, Velis Arden Velis Arden and Parvati Parvati to join him in his fortress as they would serve as valuable allies in strengthening his influence within the Black Sun Syndicate. Yet, he was wise enough to refrain from acting too hastily.

Despite his immense power, he had to acknowledge that the Falleen who held the position of Underlord had not yet shown all his cards.

"They ought to be groveling on the landing pad by now," he murmured, mostly to his own reflection. "Do they not grasp the significance of what has been set in motion here?"

Velis admired the Valley of the Jedi below her after disembarking the ship. Today was a rare good day when it came to her eyesight and with it she could lay them upon one of the galaxies wonders. She had only ever heard rumours or second hand stories about the Jedi. Yet their people were undeniably impressive to create such a wonderous place which was now in the hands of one of the Black Sun Syndicate's vigos-- a powerful man in the form of Rathmar Praji Rathmar Praji albeit smaller in comparison to the Fallen who had seized control in a resurgent criminal Empire at the turn of the ninth-century.

"I probably shouldn't keep him waiting," Velis said to herself as her thoughts turned to the business at hand. She heard somethings about Avari and therefore was reminded that to keep a man like him waiting would be a mistake particularly given the opportunity that he was affording to herself and another woman known to Velis as Parvati: a former Vigo in a previous iteration of the Syndicate and the CEO of an array of nightclubs dubbed "HOUSE PARVATI". She was currently unaware that the woman was in league with the same Sith Lord who Velis' was currently working for on a discreet basis. No doubt that would be an interesting conversation when it came out.

The Gilded Hall of Omnipotence were well defended for a man that was for all pretence and purposes a 'crook'. Avari, as one of several Vigos in the Syndicate, was no doubt a powerful man within the organisation itself but in comparison to Imperial warlords or Diarchs he shouldn't have such an amalgamation of weaponry. Yet, to her eye, there was enough guns and turrets on display to withstand a siege by even the best of attackers and the hall that they were defending was grand in it's architecture and style. It suggested that the man had real backing in his bid to rise up through the ranks of the Syndicate.

"Hello Avari," Velis said in greeting. She was almost too nonchalant as she entered the halls where the Vigo was waiting. The girl was not one for small talk, he would find. Someone might have made a quip of the place being 'nice' and asking a question here or there for small talk but the albino was different. If they were going to talk it would be about whatever Avari was brewing up...

It was admittedly Parvati's first time traveling to the planet Ruusan. She had heard an extensive history of it when the fanfare of the first round of the Galactic Kaggath had swept the galaxy. The Valley of the Jedi was a beautiful backdrop, and the gilded palace Parvati had entered tied the whole thing together. She knew of Avari through the Syndicate as the Vigo of this sector. The mistress knew of his proclivities and idiosyncrasies, she knew to fan the fire that was his ego.

Parvati walked slowly toward the entrance of the palace, her signature black bob bouncing with each step. Her body was graced with leather tracing from her toes to her collar. She was never one to arrive in hoods or robes, she knew she wasn't someone who could hide from the galaxy, so why even try? Her heeled boots clicked rhythmically down the hallway as she approached her destination. Parvati had found herself in another scheme, this time she was being summoned by the Prince himself.

Behind her, a droid followed. It's job usually being a bartender, dancer, sympathetic, and synthetic, ear, all for the right price. Today, however, the droid was clad in a similar jumpsuit to Parvati. It still had it's shape, but it was more professional than provocative, though like anything Parvati did, it was still a bit tongue in cheek.

Being the resourceful woman she was, Parvati was not one to walk into a situation blind. She had her people monitor the palace for communications that piqued their interest. The Prince had impressive firewalls, but she was able to find a bit of information about another, one Velis Arden. This woman, girl, really, had recently joined the Syndicate. There was not much information on her at all, but given her being from Nar Shaddaa and her young age, it was not hard to imagine she was just lucky, and made her way out of the streets. That's how Parvati did it after all.

But there was something else about her, something Parvati couldn't quite place. The Mistress knew she wanted to keep an eye on her. The gorgeous palace being a gorgeous backdrop to do so. Soon Parvati entered the main hall, her tall presence meeting those of the other two. It was quite common in the criminal underworld that big personalities got together, less common, was them getting along.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," Her dark eyes scanned the room, assessing any threats that may have been present. "My people are unloading your offering." She nodded toward the Prince, she had gifted him a very rare sculpture her people found after removing an enemy from power. It was a one of one, and hopefully a good peace offering. Parvati was aware that men like this needed their egos stroked.

The former vigo kept her eyes open for any sudden shifts in the mood of the room, her droid able to pick up on pheromones in the air and alert her. "So how may I-" She took a step forward, looking toward Velis, "We...be of service."

The the sharp clicking sound of Parvati Parvati heels filled the Gilded Halls with a noticeable echo, complimenting Velis Arden Velis Arden blunt greeting. He did not turn immediately to face them as his focus was entirely focused on his flawless reflection in the centermost mirror, tracing the line of his jaw with a gloved white fingertip.

The arrival of both women finally washed away that searing irritation growing within his mind as he regained some clarity of purpose. "Miss Arden, your reputation for directness precedes you...How quaint." Avari's gaze swept over her albino features lingering for a fraction too long on her pale unreadable eyes.

He saw not a person but a flawed machine interrupting the delicate balance of the universe he created on Ruusan. Then his attention shifted over to Parvati. "And you, Vigo Parvati...you have arrived with no less than a stellar reputation...and it appears you have companions. How...practical." the subtle sustain in his voice when glancing at the droid was quite noticeable, for droids were mere tools not worthy enough to be in his presence.

A single hand gestured from behind the mirror was all that was needed as two chairs would be brought forward, dark oak in coloration and fully embellished with his face on them.

"Though your generosity is noted, for such a unique artifact will do well within my collection. I trust you will not find it offensive if it goes through a vigorous security protocol. No one can ever be to careful in the Black Sun Syndicate." The question was casual but the implication was clear, those who were not paranoid in the Black Sun would find a knife in their back and he did not intend to die. For he was Avari, the Creator of the Universe and Star-Spanning Empires.

He gestured for them to take a seat before continuing. "The Black Sun is a complex web of alliances held within a magnificent gilded cage. Beautiful to behold but ultimately...confining." there was a pause to allow the image to settle within their mind.

"The current administration under our esteemed Falleen Underlord Tharn is doing well to keep the Black Sun in control of such a lawless space from his throne on Nar Shaddaa but there could be improvements." He moved outside of the circle of mirrors to speak to them more directly, leaning forward slightly as his eyes glowed with an almost sinister light.

"Now pray tell, what do you think is the reason why I have summoned you here based on my overview so far." He was not one to just tell them of his scheme for that would only invite the vultures of the criminal underworld in information brokers.

Velis lowered herself down to the seat after it was produced. She sat nonchalant like with one leg folded under the other in a position that kept one leg dangling over the edge. A small woman of a pale complexion (with strands of white forelock) and pink eyes ruined by albinism was in stark contrast to the self-proclaimed perfection of her host here on Ruusan, and unlike Parvati (a career criminal with decades of experience dealing with the likes of Avari), Velis was not in the same league.

So, when Avari delivered his overview of the Black Sun Syndicate, she was not in an advantageous position. A Sith Lord might have taken the overview and turned it in such a way to suit their ulterior agenda or motives that would have brought them to the Valley of the Jedi to meet with this man. A season Politician, or a cutthroat Businesswoman, would have dissected the words spoken to deliver a pitch designed to appease the host before her. Velis was none of these things or people. She was simple, straightforward, and to the point.

"If you want to know things then I am your girl," Velis replied quietly. Her free hand played with a dangling lock of black hair, which was strangly unaffected by the albinism that was clearly distinct in other physical features. "Whatever Tharn does or is doing doesn't matter much to me. I sell information and I know how to be discreet. If you want Imperial technology then I have a supplier. Things for a new navicomputer, engines, other parts... Weapons if you pay well. That's me. If you've brought me here for a job then I'll work. That's all I need to know."
