Faction Ad Meet the Zweihander Union

**Note - This is inspired by Dak and Resurgent Narrative's Faction FAQ's which were both so beautiful so, I figured why not

What is exactly the Zweihander Union?

The Zweihander Union is a government operating primarily in former Chiss Ascendancy Space. As part of our narrative, all species are welcome into our government and military forces. ​

Some of our primary inspirations come from the Roman Empire, Galactic Empire (Military) and various others. We wish to establish ourselves and help bring order and unity to the galaxy. ​

How does the Union Goverment Work?

Well, its actually rather simplistic (in my opinion, anyways", at the head of our government are the Chancellors of the Right and Left respectively. These two men/women are responsible for managing the day to day affairs of the Union as a whole, with very few individuals able to openly resist a joint order sent by them. ​

Directly below them, are the Magistratus which are relatively new (OOC'ly) to our narrative. The inspiration behind these individuals can be found in various sources. They are virtually extensions of the Chancellor, although they are theoretically far numerous than thier direct superiors. ​

Below them are the Council of Governors, a organization of the various Governors of the Union, who each control a sector. Considering the Union only has a single available Sector for rule we usually will recommend for writers to go for the next rank, Lord​

Lords govern worlds, and are considered essential to the day to day manghement of the Union. Lord's have the authority to govern thier worlds as they see fit, as long as it does nor impede Union law. Lord's of the Capital Sector report directly to the Chancellors. ​

How does the Union Military Work?

​

Well, this is where it gets interesting. The entirety of the Union Military falls under the control of the Chancellors and the Supreme Joint Chief of the Zweihander Union. The Supreme Joint Chief is selected by a group of individuals known as the Supreme War Council, the highest element of the Zweihander Union High Command. ​

The Supreme War Council itself is made up of the Joint Chiefs of the Navy, Army, and thier deputies. (Note: The Starfighter Corps is considered to be part of the Union Navy and thus falls under the Naval Joint Chiefs command)​

Our rnaks are wide open, and within the Navy you can start with a rank as high as Commodore and within the Army you can start as a Major (iirc). ​
