Meet The Mechanic (Jen)

"You should watch it!" Jennifer had said teasingly as she got closer to him: "The law enforcement can be quite strict here." Mit grinned and jumped off the sign, he caught the bottom of it and swung back around, landing behind Jen. "I haven't seen any law enforcement since I got here." He teased. He looked at his datapad, "You look good." He joked.

"You look like you've never been this high." He teased. He layed on his back, looking at the lights above. "You sure your ok up here?" He said, not expecting an answer he added, "Remind me, next time we meet we're going to Hoth."

Mit did kind of hope they would meet again...

Jennifer almost gasped as Mit jumped off the sign, figuring that he had stumbled and fell over, instead however he grasped the bottom of sign and swung back around it, landing just behind Jennifer. Okay this guy was an acrobat, she had never seen anything like that.

And smoothly as ever he simply started to talk: "I haven't seen any law enforcement since I got here." He paused for a second, a sparkle seen in his eye as he talked, one of those sparkles that indicated that you were laughing on the inside, teasing if you will. And just to add to it all his gaze dropped towards the datapad in his hand, his voice staying in the same teasing tune: "You look good."

A subtle smile creeped onto her face, one of those that you couldn't get off, even if you tried. Hiding her face a bit, she carefully went to sit down, a hand following a tiny ledge behind her. No she was not used to sit up here. She however was used to remote corners of places.. That was sort of one of her many things she liked to do. Usually however she sat at places who were more, well, secure.

"You look like you've never been this high." He said in the same teasing manner, now laying on his back close by Jennifer, his gaze turned to the colorful lights above. "You sure your ok up here? Remind me, next time we meet we're going to Hoth."

"Well.. Define high. Nah, you know though. Usually I sit places that is meant to be sitting on. Unlike this one." She carefully patted the sign, her gaze turning towards Mit who was still lying on his back, staring at the lights above. People had been starting to notice them as they walked by. A few curious glances passing them every now and then.

"Yea, yea. I'm fine btw. Don't worry." Jennifer added, her grip tightening a bit around the ledge around her. It was beautiful though, all the way up here. "Oh? You think we'll meet again, eh?" She was obviously teasing, her gaze turning towards the people on the street and after a while she spoke up again, seeming more curious than before, an after thought if you will: "Why Hoth though? Oh and can I see it? The picture I mean."

"Yea, yea. I'm fine btw. Don't worry." She added, Mit saw her tighten her grip on the sign. "Oh? You think we'll meet again, eh?" She was obviously teasing, her gaze turning towards the people on the street and after a while she spoke up again, seeming more curious than before. "Why Hoth though? Oh and can I see it? The picture I mean."

"Hoth is an amazing place... I guess you could call it home to." Mit said. After a moment he added: "Sure, you do look great in it though." He grinned, after a moment of fidgeting to be able to reach the datapad he passed it over to her. Mit looked at the people below, a small crowd had begun to gather, watching the two idiots sitting on a billboard. "Excuse me for a moment, I have an audience to attend to." He said, his grin wider than ever. "Try and get a few good pictures." With that he jumped from the sign and caught another of the large billboards, swinging around he landed on a cantina's bright blue lights. The crowd watched in awe, He was nearly a hundred feet in the air and he still acted as casual as if he was on solid ground.

He flipped back over to Jennifer. "Anything good?"

Jennifer had barely been able to get a glimpse of her own face on the Datapad before Mit had leaped off the sign, gracefully swinging around in patterns which seemed random, at least to Jennifer's eyes. Jennifer had quickly turned on the camera function, smashing the button taking at least five or so pictures.

And then it was over and he was back where he had come from. Just like that. "Are you some sort of monkey or something?"
She smirked raising the datapad up to him to see. There was a few funny ones, one while he was still in the air even. Looked very artsy with all the colors around and such.

And her own picture had looked good too, the slight smile of hers visibly seen on it as she had made her way through the crowd. "Hey, so. What next? I for one am starting to grow hungry."

"Hey, so. What next? I for one am starting to grow hungry."

"Already hungry? Well, come on. I saw a dinner while I was flying around like a monkey." He said, "Want to do to the diner? Or I could bring something back..." He shrugged, "I'm still not letting you pay. That would be improper of me." He grinned, his back was towards the street as he blew a joking kiss to Jen, leaped off the ledge, and hit the ground running, there was a message on Jennifer's datapad, that simply read. 'Time me.'

[member="Jen"]

"Improper? I tell you I'm..." And then he had jumped off the damn ledge. She had to ask him where he had trained to do that sometime around. She grinned as he blew a kiss and as fast as humanly, and rynly possible she carefully climbed down from the sign, setting in a sprint after him, trying to catch up.

Even if he stood about to pay somewhere she would toss credits at the cashier. She would make sure of that! Her eyes scanned the large road.. Now.. Where was he..

Jennifer's eyes scanned the road, Mit had hidden behind a shopkeeper's sign. As she walked past he jumped out, datapad in hand.
Snap!
There was a flash of light and Mit was already running. "Two already!" He yelled. He slowed pace and stood next to the door of a more -expensive- and much nicer looking place than most of the buildings.
"Well, come on." He said, holding the door open for Jennifer.

"Argh-ahaha" Jennifer almost yelled as Mit surprised her with the loud snapping sound from the datapad. And then she watched him run off "Two already!" One could hear Mit yell over the sound of the people and general noise around them. She smirked at herself as she carried herself towards him, slowing down her pace as he slowed down his and came to a stop infront of what appeared to be a nastily expensive place.

Jennifer did eat expensive often as her credits allowed it, she paid no rent or any fees really other than some maintenance on her speeders, swoops and ships every now and then. And even then that was something she rarely did, it was way easier to do it yourself anyway. Furthermore she worked for the Red Ravens and they paid quite handsomely when things were done well, which they were often when Jennifer was involved. At least she thought that herself, sometimes one had to brag, she supposed.

But this one seemed to beat most of the places she had been in as of lately. Or well one couldn't be sure until they had seen the prices, but.. This was obviously some sort of.. Tricking! He just wanted to pay, silly little.. Well, he did seem richer than she had expected, but still. She didn't want to be carried around not paying for herself, she would find a compromise.

"Hmm.. Don't think I've ever been here." She said smoothly as if not paying attention to the price: "Do you know what they serve?" And with that, she entered.

"I have no clue what they serve, but it looks nice." Mit said with a grin. He walked in and shut the heavy door behind him. "Go order what you want, I need to have a chat with the cashier." He grinned, "Im not letting you pay if you were wondering." He spun around, and walked over to the counter. It was an extremely quite place -for a restaurant on a planet as busy as this-It was obviously a place meant for the rich. "Don't let my friend over there pay for anything, even if she starts throwing money at you." He handed the man a bundle of credits. "If I catch her paying, you and I are going to have another chat." He smiled, and led Jennifer to a booth. "Now, what would you like." He said, a glint in his eyes.

@Jen

"I will pay! Like it or not!" Jennifer practically yelled throughout the bottom floor of the otherwise dead quiet restaurant they were standing in towards Mit and the waiter who were talking. Some of the guests turned their heads and raised an eyebrow. Obviously a good handful of the very rich here on Antecedant were in the grasp of the Red Ravens, however Jennifer wasn't exactly their image as an organisation so even if some of these people could have ties to the vast crime syndicate it seemed none of them knew who she was. Luckily enough one could suppose.

But yes, right now she probably just appeared as some bart of a teenager who probably had a lot of money. She didn't dress fancily like Mit who could surely and very easily blend in among all the people here, but if one were to study her closer they would figure that her clothes was in prime condition and came from some sort of absurd brands. Anyway, with a teasing frown she was led to the booth Mit and herself had been seated by.

As the two were about to sit Jennifer took off her leather jacket and hung it over her chair. The leather jacket had been open since she had seen Mit, she almost never closed it, however the simple white tanktop under could very easily have been mistaken for a t-shirt so it did free up her arms a bit compared to such a thing. As she sat down and moved the chair a bit under her to get a bit closer to the table her eyes caught a glimpse of her own arm. "Oh I almost forgot that." She said with a slight smile at the surprise in an almost mumbling way. The area around her left shoulder seemed to have a tattoo that looked like it resembled a tiny chain necklace around the very top of the shoulder, every link being a different vibrant color.

"Like it? Only temporary though, getting it removed soon.. Oh and yes, lets figure that out." She said afterwards in response to Mit's last question. And with a few quick tabs on the table a HoloMenu seemed to pop up to her right side and Mits left side, she squinted her eyes.. What to choose..

"Its pretty, why would you get it removed?" Mit said, he was a bit surprised that Jennifer was wearing a tank top, he had expected a T-shirt, but it did fit her personality after all. "Get what you like." He said. After a moment of silence he realized he hadn't taken off his coat, or his hat even. He slid out of the booth and pulled off his hat, he set it gingerly down on the table and pulled his coat off as well, underneath he had a gray vest and a white long sleeved shirt. "So, M'lady. What would you like." He said in a joking tone. He sat back down and started to scroll through the menu. Pausing every so often to read the prices. "So, you still insisting on paying?"

[member="Jen"]

"Ah thanks. I like it as well, but it.. Hmm. I don't know. I only keep them if I really, really adore them." Jennifer had replied to his comment, giving her own shoulder a quick pat before turning back towards Mit and the menu who was glowing faintly blue, hovering silently above the table. As Mit stood up to take off his coat and hat she simply smiled at herself, his thoughts must have been busy otherwise it seemed odd to forget such a thing, not that it mattered. It was amusing. A little quirk Mit had. And such were both bad and good. Adorable to some.

As Mit started to scroll the menu she leant a little forward to get a better look, elbows on the table while her right hand in a rather unconcious manner tried to fix her hair, and almost impossible task. "Hah, M'lady? Ermm.. Well.." She coughed a few times in a quiet manner to fresh up her voice, trying to imitate some sort of Alderaan overclass accent, failing horribly. "Well.. Sir.. I am uncertain. But how about... That." She made her wrist loose and pointed an idle finger at some sort of fish dinner for two. "Now we just need to find something to drink.~" She turned her face towards Mit, raising an questioning eyebrow while she straightened her pose a bit, breaking out of the joking act. "Well.." She glanced briefly at the prices once more:

"How about we pay half each, yea? I swear, I am actually able to pay if that is what you're worrying about."

"How about we pay half each, yea? I swear, I am actually able to pay if that is what you're worrying about."
"Who said I was worrying? I just want to pay,It would be impolite of me to make you pay. I invited you on the date... Er I mean... Day out." He shrugged, If she wanted to pay some she could. "Great accent by the way, not that its any better than the one you have." He said with a smile. "Fish is nice, how about..." He scrolled through the insane list of drinks they had at this place. He absentmindedly fidgeted with his collar and repeatedly messed with his hair. Not that it could ever get any more random. "This?" He said, finishing his thought from before and pointing at some sort of -rather expensive- wine. "I'm surprised, wine in a city like this? I thought it was all beer." he said with a little laugh.

[member="Jen"]

"Aaaah.. That's not fair." Jennifer said, her normal voice heard clearly: "Can't really do a lot about. Or well.. At least it's hard. And it's not like I'm unable to speak common. Spoke ryn and mandalorian during the early years of my life.. So, yea that's why. In case you were wondering" She gave him a slight and weak smile, turning to look towards the menu he was scrolling through. "Ermm.." She glanced very briefly towards Mit to check if he was serious, then trying to play it off, shrugging. "Yea looks good. Have to be white wine if we take the fish one. Red wine doesn't really go well with fish."

Well, now he only had to press order and the food would be there soon. She leant back in her chair, streatching a bit before putting her elbows back down on the table, leaning it a bit from her seated position. "So.. Mit. What do you do for a living?" Well they would have to start the conversation somewhere, wouldn't they?

"What? I didn't mean it like that..." Mit said. He hit the order button and a little progress bar appeared. "I find it to taste good, of course, I'd eat anything if it wasn't packaged in a durasteel crate." He shrugged, smiled and went on to answer Jen's question. It was something to talk about anyways. "I do what ever pays best. I spy, I fight, Sometime I murder." He said. "And some times, I go on dates with pretty ladies -like today-" He said with a joking smile. "What do you do?"

[member="Jen"]

Jennifer raised a brow as Mit mentioned murder, her reacting almost instantly being leaning a bit back. At least to her it was uncommon to mention murder like it was some every day thing, which was exactly what worried her. Only psychopaths and people who had it as their job mentioned murder this openly, or at least that was what she had observed throughout her life. Even within the Ravens some of the seasoned killers wasn't that nonchalantly when talking about their work. Perhaps he was just joking, but some truth there must have been to his words.

"You're such a flirt, you know that?" Jennifer said with an almost accusing voice, offering a slight friendly smile "I wonder how often you go out. And well I'm a simple mechanic. Even though I may not look like it, or well.. My trousers probably give off to that, at least to some extend. Could also just be some sort of fashion.. Perhaps it is both." Not far from the truth, however not all of it.. She decided to let the details out for now, attempting to explain her proffession a bit better without giving away the truth: "You know, I customize swoop bikes and such. Have my own little store on Coruscant.. But.. Erm.. Back to you, so you're like a mercenary or something?"

"I am? I wasn't aware." Mit said in a joke defencive voice. "Not often, I could have guessed as much, though with the city, it seems like anything is a fashion." He said, putting his hand up on the table in a mock gesture of confusion. "I suppose you could call me that." He said with a shrug. He slipped a little lower in his seat, trying to look less awkward than he felt. He glanced at the food's progress. "Few more minutes, think you can make it-" He said, jokingly slicing his finger across his throat, "-Before you starve?"

[member="Jen"]

A mercenary. And a well paid one, how very interesting. She smiled as he commented on the ease of figuring her being a mechanic. She found it impressive that people could always be so on point. It was perhaps her attitude to everything that gave it out. "A few more minutes? Nah, I'll probably be dead by then." Her smile grew slight at the comment, her head still in her hands and her elbows on the table, her amber eyes looking over Mit.

"So.. Tell me something about yourself. Like. Anything really. What made you travel all the way out here, just to meet me? For example. You know, we live in a rather large galaxy and there's bound to be at least a dosin other good picks between here and.. Hoth? You live on Hoth? Right?"

She was almost sure the dinner would be there when he was finished with his response, she looked forward to it. It was good to have someone to talk to while eating for once and even though she had been anxious about all this meet up, date like thing it seemed that Mit was approachable. Easy to talk to.

Now when would the botttle of wine show up? See, that was probably the most important question of tonight.

As Jen talked, Mit looked over his shoulder at the doorway that led to the kitchens, A waiter was walking out of it with a tray absolutely full of food, oh, and there was plenty of wine. Mit turned around again and put his wrists to the table, closing his eyes for a moment he murmured something silently. Realizing this would probably look, well, odd to say the least. Mit sat up straight again and looked at Jen
"Correct, Hoth is, was, and always will be the place where I belong. Why I came out here? Oh, I don't know really. You seemed, more, approachable. Than anyone else i've met in a long time."
The waiter set a glimmering tray on the table, and poured out two glasses of wine. He left the wine at the table, and walked back to the kitchen. Mit took his glass and took a sip.
"Ah, its about time..."
