Mechanical Monstrosities

Virgilla
--------------------
It was a rather humid day on Virgilla, In the Bastion of Ren Kyrel woke up in his room to put on his suit that kept his body alive, and decided to practice his saber skills. He went out to the courtyard and activated his lightsaber after unhooking it from his belt. The red blade came to life, and Kyrel felt a mix of eagerness and excitement all into one. He went about his usual thing practicing drills and velocities in a pattern. To be honest Lightsaber combat was one of his favorite things to do when it came to training and with each passing day he practiced Vader's Style of Form V hoping to perfect it into his own.

As he kept it up he sensed someone. He turned around and found a fellow disciple entering the courtyard. It was [member="Marcus Wolf"] which he had met quite a bit and smiled beneath his helmet, and said in a friendly tone through the baritone of his vocabulator. "Greetings my friend would you care to join in a friendly sparing match."

He focused his photoreceptors on him and waited for his answer as he loosely held his saber downwards. He was in constant pain but that was nothing new,he merely gained strength from it to feed the power of the dark side. Despite the self loathing he had to admit his form carried some advantages.

Walking up to the other apprentice he gave a slight bow nodding at him as he had just previously been watching him spar, he would like to have sparred, but he didn't have his own lighsaber, so he used the force and grabbed one of the sparring sabers. It was a lighsaber nonetheless but it wasn't his own, fine tuned to him. He looked at the man. "I guess a spar is applicable in this situation, you a machine apprentice, and me a machine apprentice. Almost fitting, as if this were by mere coincidence or by the force. But no matter the reason. Let's do this." Looking the other man dead in the eyes of his helmet he turned on the lighsaber feeling it extend out next to him as he kept his eyes trained on his opponent. He knew better then to make the first move, hoping to counter the apprentice he stood there, open, yet protected. He knew that the other apprentice could most likely hold his own in a fight, but he could too.

He kept his gaze on the apprentice.and with a flick of his wrist activated the lightsaber. The red blade ignited once more with a hiss all the while kyrel never kept his gaze off of his opponent. He walked forward slowly studying the apprentice, and within a split second he raised his saber arm up and with his strength launched a downward slash upon him attempting to test his defenses. He than proceeded to if not launch an assault in his Form V strikes where with each powerful strike attempted to drive him backwards, and to hopefully give him an edge with the first attacks.

Watching the blade arc down towards him he side steps laughing a little at this simple move, he must be a form V user he thought, those powerful strikes where meant to weak him but he knew such attacks as he watched the other apprentice beside him slice at thin air. He uses the force to push the other apprentice's leg out from underneath him and lifts his blade toward the apprentice, he made it too easy, Form VI is a very deadly type of Form due to it's implementing of the force instead of the Lighsaber, but he knew that the apprentice wouldn't give up this easy as he looked down at him.

During his attacks he felt his opponent force push his leg and with a grunt he fell on his knee. He than saw the blade and moved his saber arm to block the incoming blade. While the saber is engaged with his in a lock,he focuses his anger on him,and in turn gives him strength. He than attempted to use his free arm to punch his torso attempting to get up and resuming his attack. Being wary of his attacks recognizing it at Form VI which made it a threat to his Form V since his form was designed for Lightsaber Combat, and using your opponent's strength against them while his opponent's style relied on the Force. He would defiantly have to be careful.

He launched more strikes attempting to go for his head to confuse him swinging right to left while pushing him back. His true aim was for the apprentice's saber hand, arcing his blade in a spin before making the attempts to go for his arms. Hoping to avoid any force attacks he did not give the metal man a single inch focusing all of his dark side power into his attacks showing sheer ferocity in his form.

Feeling the punches he stumbled back a bit confused and then raised his saber in time to block the attacks to the head. Holding off the attacks he concentrates focuses on a pile of rocks not that far off and throws them at him opponent throwing the rocks into his face. With this moment of confusion he pushes the other apprentice back into a tree and keeps him pushed again it walking up dropping him to the floor. This was just beginning and they both knew it, they would be very good against each other, them both being machines, they would help each other improve, but they would never hate each other, because they would depend on one another. Looking down at his foe he goes to strike at his opponents head again, lifting his arm in a strong attack to the head with all his might.

A chilling wave of sickly darkness would come upon the two mechanical men as they fought, halting their combat. Someone else had arrived, and was watching. From the shadows at the end of the courtyard emerged a robed figure, his face in shadow as he watched the two fight. His presence was dark and sickly, corrupted as he stood there. And it did not seem as though the darkness that emanated from him was voluntary either. Indeed, for the Knight of Ren known as Wolfgang Krieger, the darkness that he exuded was entirely involuntary, a consequence of his use of orbalisks to empower him and regain his ability to walk, after his fated duel with an ancient Sith Lord, aboard a superweapon that all seemed like a distant dream.

He stepped forward into the light, his clean-shaven face revealed to the two men as he watched them fight. How interesting, that the Order of Ren had recruited for themselves two men with such similar physical attributes. Their cold cybernetic presences were intriguing to Wolf, and their heated spar had brought his attention to investigate and see for himself. He had met the one known as Thomas Kyrel before, aboard a Star Destroyer upon which there was an outbreak of the undead, and Wolf was infected with their putrid disease. That was all over now though, and many things had changed since then. Indeed the mechanical Disciple had witnessed Wolf back when he was disabled in his hoverchair, and it was a memory that Wolf would rather quickly do away with.

There was an affinity between the three of them standing there, though they would not know it. Wolf too needed something other to aid him, to help him walk again after his duel. Underneath his robes his body was encrusted with sickly creatures known as orbalisks, which bit and tore into his flesh and filled him with adrenalin and healing enzymes that ran through his body and gave him back his ability to walk again. The Knight of Ren was thankful that the Order had given him such a precious gift, though it now meant he was riddled with a constant pain that throbbed through his body, and it had robbed him of true privacy, for these creatures would be with him wherever he went, quite likely till the end of his life.

The Knight of Ren lowered his hood now as he neared the two of them. An amused smile played upon his lips as he looked the two of them up and down, studying their features, the various mechanical contraptions that they wore and perhaps were necessary to keep them living. He opened his mouth to speak now, his voice a distinct Imperial accent, tinged with humour. "Has Lord Vader Memorial Day arrived already? I was not aware that our Order was gifted with not one but two Disciples who were more machine than man." He glanced at one of them, "We have met before, Thomas. But you," his gaze then turned to Marcus Wolf, his head cocking to one side, "we have not. I am one of the Knights of Ren, Wolf."

He went flying to the tree with a loud crunch against the tree's branch. He slowly got up force pulling the hilt back to his hand and slowly made his strides toward him. His rage was stirring like a storm,he was angry and looked forward to launching his counter attack upon him. He was feeling pain as usual but all that rage gave him strength and that is what he needs at this moment in time. Before he could launch his first blow he was stopped dead in his tracks,as if the presence that was in the same area as him was paralyzing him.

He deactivated his saber, and hooked it back in his belt. He slowly moved his neck to look in the direction that he felt the powerful force signature. The man slowly stepped forward and removed his hood,Kyrel studied his faciel features and saw the insects known as Orbalisks all over his body. Kyrel couldn't really tell weather they what they really were, but from the history of the galaxy he had read the sith Darth Bane had a similar condition as well. He also knew the man carried what looked to be a ragged looking crossguard lightsaber. His eyes widen underneath his mask, and knew it was none other than [member="Wolf"] he had encountered the man before, months ago he had met him on a doomed Star Destroyer overrun with the undead, and after being discovered of his Force Sensitivity was transferred to Virgilla to live in the Bastion. He had encountered him their again and was surprised to see him even though he had a feeling that surviving things like zombies was no match for him, either way he never questioned it.

He also saw a familiar saber he possessed the saber of the first master of the knights of ren,and the grandson of the one whose suit was based on. He envied the knight for that to possess something that belonged to the Skywalker bloodline and wielded a Weapon that had a reputation of both Fear, and power,he respected the knight that stood before him,for overcoming the hardships that lied before him to acquire such an artifact, and Thomas had hoped to acquire such an item from Lord Vader with whom he had taken great inspiration in and hoped to be the heir to his dark legacy modeling his behavior after him Hoping to being the next Vader Within the new Imperial rule that would one day take it's rightful place in the galaxy like it's forefather the galactic empire so long ago.

Upon hearing his playful words with how it was 'Vader's Memorial day' He let out a light chuckle, and nodded. As he was inspecting both Kyrel and wolf he had asked who Wolf was seeing how the Knight knew Thomas already, and as he was waiting for an answer from the other apprentice Kyrel spoke inquisitively. "Greetings Master Wolf, may i ask what the unexpected honor of why you are here?"

Suddenly feeling a presence of someone wipe over him he stopped his attacks and put his saber away as [member="Wolf"] walked into the light. He bowed to him and looked back at the man. How long had he been watching? No matter he knew that if someone like Wolf was watching he had his reasons to it. He put the lighsaber back where it belonged and walked back to the man. "No I'm pretty sure Lord Vader memorial day is next month, and I think we are supposed to get 5 machine men that day. But no matter, I am Marcus Wolf, hmm Ironic no? We share a name, me as my last and you as your whole, given name? Or chosen? No matter, it is my pleasure to meet one of your prominence here. I was just sparring with this Disciple before we felt you presence. I feel me and him could definitely learn a lot from each other." He looked over at the other discple and then back to Wolf. "Is there any particular reason you are here today Master Wolf?"
