- Semi-Modular Cargo Container Docking Clamps - The Swift Hauler can haul StarGuard Dynamics-specific Cargo Containers, and is compatible with Cargo Canisters, Class-A Cargo Containers, Class-C Cargo Containers, Class-F Cargo Containers, and Class-K Cargo Containers. It can only haul 1 Container at a time.
- Versatile - The freighters small size allows it to get to places and locations other freighters normally couldn't. In-atmosphere, hangar bays, caves, small fields, etc. And while it isn't the fastest freighter, it picks up and goes with a bit more gusto than the larger freighters due to less structural weight.
- Cargo Vulnerability - Not only is the cargo hauled externally from the armored hull, making it vulnerable to attacks, but the ship itself is vulnerable when it is hauling Cargo. It experiences slower speed and maneuverability than the specs read out on the Catalog due to the increased weight.
- Exposed Fuel Container - To ensure long and steady hauls through trade routes, the Swift Hauler needed more fuel than any small container could offer. With the fuel container external, it can fit more necessary electronics without extra hull structure, but the fuel canister makes a deadly weakness when shields are down.
The MD-09 (Modular Delivery, 9th version) Swift Hauler is StarGuard Dynamics answer to resupplying small outposts fast. Whether it's fuel, food, or weapons, the Swift Hauler can swoop in, drop off, or pick up a cargo container, and ditch the scene. With the smaller structural size and less weight, it has an easier time slowing to a stop, as long as it's all a straight line... turning is not the Swift Haulers specialty. Unfortunately, it has seen use by some smugglers and other illegal users. Whether shoving a small armed force inside a cargo container, or rapidly getting the goods from the scene of a crime, it's become a hot little disposable ship for some crews. But for StarGuard Dynamics, they feel it's easier than a shuttle carrying a few crates of supplies, as the outpost or base that needs the supply can sort the container out themselves, and the Swift Hauler can return later to pick it up.
