Description:
In the history of space warfare, no ship other than the wedged form of the Imperial Star Destroyer is more recognizable than the sleek organic Mon Calamari Cruiser. These iconic ships stood up to the ancient New Order Destroyers matching them and proving far more resilient in battle. This is because of the Mon Cala and their design principles. Their ships were not machines built on a production line, Weapons of war made to strike fear in the hearts of men. No, The Mon Calamari Star Cruiser is a beacon of hope for the galaxy. Proof that even in the face of insurmountable odds, absolute power can be wrenched from the oppressor by sheer will and determination. Thier ships were not a series of hull numbers, laid beside each other built in concert. Each ship was a truly individual vessel. with its own lines and personality. Built not for war these vessels were made to stand against the walls of the defender and scream out you shall not pass. Built to stand off against more powerful and more numerous foes, the Mon Calamari Cruiser is designed with defense over offense in mind. Hosing light weapons and far more powerful shielding, along with layer upon layer of redundant systems the Mon Calamari cruiser simply out lasts other ships in the game of attrition. If utilizes its defensive capabilities to stand and fight longer when most ships would be crippled or destroyed. The new MC80d Solidarity is such a vessel. Named after the starcruiser which aided in the capture of Darth Vader centuries ago, the Solidarity class is a modernized variant of the original MC80a wingless-type star cruiser. Like her predecessors, the new class is built around its redundant systems and heavy redundant shielding.

Design
The Solidarity-class is designed with multiple redundancies on all of its operational systems. Communications, Sensors, Power Regulation, and command and control systems are hardened with redundant transmission lines and power feeds to keep them operational long after normal starships systems would be disabled. Built on an advanced Ferrocarbon Condensed-matter Composite giving the vessel a strong, pliable skeleton which increases its defensive capabilities against kinetic weaponry. Wrapped in a hull made of Neualuquad Ablative Armor Plating, the Solidarity-class had formidable defensive capabilities from both energy and kinetic weaponry. This layered ablative armor also impairs targeting against key internal systems with its anti-sensor properties. Redundant cap drains and de-ionizers offer substantial defense against ionic weaponry and spatial ion based anomalies. An impressive electronic warfare suit aids in defense from enemy targeting and projectiles. This system includes Missile deactivation transmitters, Jamming Beams, Anti-ordnance EM probe Launchers, Jammer Arrays. Multiple MC1010 Delphus.4-class Quad Redundancy Shield Projectors are positioned over the hull in a layered coverage system. these advanced shield projectors can utilize one of their multiple redundant projectors to strengthen the projector adjacent to it. This layered system of shielding means if one projector goes down or is damaged the two adjacent projectors can continue protecting the area of the vessel. the combined systems make for a formidable Defensive rating allowing the vessel to stay in the fight and out last larger more powerful warships.

Armament
The Solidarity-class, like its predecessors, is armed with standard and light weapons rather than heavier mounts. It uses these weapons to slowly pound a target while it in return absorbs fire from its enemy. Seventy Two turbolaser cannon hex batteries make up the main armament of the vessel. these weapon mounts each have their own protective "bump" hull mount with three dual mounted turbolaser turrets. Each turret within the battery has dedicated power and regulations with redundant capacitor banks and advanced targeting systems making the minimum armament of the class much more effective than standard ships of the same armament. Supporting these are thirty two Ion Cannon hex Batteries. Like the turbolaser batteries, these too work in three sets of dual turrets with dedicated and redundant systems. Six heavy torpedo launchers round out the offensive capabilities of the vessel. These heavy mounts fire a variety of warheads for any mission profile and need. these include warheads fired by variable and general warhead launchers such as Assault Concussion Missiles, EWAR Torpedo. and proprietary warheads only fired by the launcher such as Mon Cala designed Heavy Proton Torpedo, Heavy Penetrator Torpedo, Heavy Plasma Torpedo, Heavy Ion Torpedo, Heavy EMP Torpedo, Heavy Ball Bering Torpedoes, Heavy Carbonite Torpedoes. Defensively the class only mounts a light array of defensive weapons which are mounted in the six heavy defense batteries. Each contains redundant systems like the larger offensive batteries which support the eight rapid fire point defense laser cannons and two light, short ranged, defense turbolaser cannons. With such a light defensive armament it is a requisite for the class to be supported by anti-fighter and defense escorts. A suite of electronic warfare systems and weapons round out the armaments of the class. These systems are geared towards blocking targeting and incoming projectiles.

Complement
The Solidarity-class has two hangers, one on her port flank which is for launching, retrieving and housing three attack craft squadrons which make up her air wing. The second hanger is located on the bottom side of the vessel on the starboard side. This hanger is for docking with corvettes, housing the small assault regiment and for storing freighters and visiting starcraft. The assault regiment housed near the hanger is used for both assault missions and as starship security. It is made up of three thousand six hundred troops with one hundred light and fifty heavy supporting vehicles. A group of freighters, dropships and shuttles can ferry down small groups at one time but full mobilization takes considerable time. Often times a larger vessel is docked with the cruiser and loaded with the assault force which is then ferried down to planets when large scale operations are required. Normal assault operations for the vessel are generally more space based small scale boarding operations.
