Triple Redundant Systems
Anti-slicing Systems
Anti-Ion Defensive Systems

Maneuverability Rating: 17 slow
Speed Rating: 16 slow
Hyperdrive: Class 1 average

Strengths:
Heavy Shielding - The vessel has multiple layers of overlapping redundant shield protection
Redundant Systems - The vessel has multiple layers of system redundancy
Heavy Forward Firepower - most of the offensive firepower of the vessel is fixed to the forward fire arc.
Anti-slicing - All networks and systems are protected from slicer attacks by Socketguards
Anti-Ionic Defense - Multiple systems are installed to protect vessel from ionic based damage.

Weaknesses:
Thin Armor Plating - the vessel relies on its heavy shielding for protection and has thin armor plating.
Weak Flank Fire Arcs - most of the offensive firepower is fixed to the forward fire arc.
Weak Aft Fire Arc - most of the offensive firepower is fixed to the forward fire arc.
Cost - the massive redundancy and construction technics make the class very expensive.
Repair - the massive redundancy and construction technics make the class difficult to repair. Vessel must be repaired at a certified MCS drydock.
Poor Maneuvering - The mass of the vessel makes it less maneuverable than other vessels of its class and size
Slow Sublight Speed - The mass of the vessel makes it less slower than other vessels of its class and size

Description: Based on the original Tri-Scythe frigate the MCE55 is a repurposing of the vessel to fit a desired support role. It's role is to stand off out of standard weapons range and launch its attack wing then support with long range firepower. ninety five percent of the offensive power of the vessel is located on the central blade and focused on the forward fire arc. This leaves the ship vulnerable to attack from capital vessels in the port and starboard flanks and the aft. Each weapon is mounted on its own dedicated emplacement on the flanks of the central blade. Turreted light turbolasers are the only offensive weapon systems with fire arch outside the forward arch. They and the few turreted defensive weapon systems offer defensive fire in all fire arcs.

Like all Mon Calamari Warships the vessel relies on its advanced heavy shielding for the majority of its defense. Its hull is made of thin durasteel plating and is far weaker than other ships pf their class and size. The forward blades have an extra layer of armor but only on the front plates. The vessels flanks and rear are very vulnerable to damage once the shielding has been brought down.

Anti-ion weapon defense is handled by a series of capacitor drains and de-ionizers, They work to help with localized ionic spatial phenomenon in addition to their defensive duty against ion based weaponry. Networking and system transmission lines are secured with socket guards to assist in slicing defense.

Due to the vessels mass and its designed role the class it very slow and had poor maneuverability. It operates from a fixed defensive and support position only moving to maintain its distance and to bring its heavy weaponed prow blade to bear on targets.

Unlike more calamari designs with one central hanger area the Hangers of the MCE55 are spread out. A large hanger is located on the lower section of the central prow blade. It is a guest hanger for visiting shuttlecraft and light freighter vessels. Two hangers are located on the lower ourside blades each housing half of the support squadron. On each outer blade Above the support hanger is a hanger housing a squadron of attack craft. A third attack craft hanger is located on the central blade opening to the aft just below the ventral hull. A small command hanger is located on the central blade just below the upper command pod. This hanger houses four shuttles for command personnel use.
