Special Features:
Very Very Heavy Shielding
Redundant Systems

Strengths:
Heavy Weapons Arc - The Manta has most of its weapons positioned with the forward fire arc in mind.
Hardened Systems - The Class is built for defense and has redundancies on all systems.
Quad Redundancy Shielding - The Delpus4 shielding gives the vessel 5 layers of shielding

Weaknesses:
Expensive - Advanced building techniques and redundancies, makes the Manta-class Heavy Corvette cost as much as most cruisers currently produced throughout the galaxy.
Tough to repair - Once damage has gotten through the various redundancies they are very difficult to repair and require docking at a Mon Calamari Shipyards facility for repair.
Poor Maneuvering - Due to the mass of the ship it is less maneuverable than most ships of its size.
Slow Speed - Due to the additional mass from the heavier weapon systems the Manta-class has reduced speed.
Weaker Flank Fire Arcs - The Manta-class is designed with its weapons focused on the forward and aft arc limiting the weapons systems with flanking fire arcs.

Description:

Designed as the ancient ships of the Mon Calamari, the new MC vessels are based on the principle of defense over offense. Favoring heavy redundancies and powerful shielding, along with lighter rapid firing armaments, the ships of the new MC line are meant to face off against enemies and outlast them in a war of attrition

The MCC27 is the second ship in the new MC program line. Based on the MCC25 Danios-class the Manta-class is built on the same hull equipped with many of the same systems as the Danios-class. The main difference it eh removal of the hanger to make room for a second Reactor and more Turbolaser Cannons.

Removing the hanger bay and opting to mount more MC1009 Afane-class Rapid Fire Turbolaser Cannon, rather than add warhead launchers, the MCC27 Is far more powerful offensively than its carrier centered predecessor the MCC27 is meant to stand down larger heavier combatants. Focusing the bulk of its weapons to the forward fire arc, the MCC27 commanders work to keep their prows to the enemies offering the smaller cross section to enemies making the ship harder to target.

The link to your Sensor Suite leads back to this submission.

Otherwise, this looks solid.

The very heavy shielding is nicely offset by the dedicated weaknesses and drawbacks. I've no problem stamping this.
