Description: With the success of the MC-d1001 Tarpon-class Heavy Defense Battery, the Engineers at Mon Calamari Shipyards have begun the task of designing a series of weapon batteries to consolidate firepower into one centralized reinforced mount.

Each battery is constructed from the FCMC frame alloy giving it superior strength over standard durasteel frame construction. Atop this the hull of the turret is wrapped in Alusteel armor plating giving it protection against incoming fire. Each turret has recessing armored gun ports which can be opened and the turrets extended for fire.

The MC-t1002 Turbolaser Cannon Battery is the second battery developed but the MCS engineering team. It houses six Turbolaser Cannons mounted in dual turret mounts. Each turret can fire into the flank the battery is facing while two can fire into the forward arc and one into the aft arc making the battery capable of engaging contacts in a full one hundred and eighty degree arc of fire.

Each turret houses an advanced targeting system allowing the weapons crew of the battery to track multiple targets rapidly and engage targets as assigned from the threat computer. Each battery has a standard crew of twenty four gunners, four per dual turret, and a support crew of six engineers for damage control.

Each Turret houses a dedicated triple redundancy power capacitor bank to maintain constant power to the weapons systems. Power is routed from the reactor through a loop capacitor system into a bank of forty eight massive power capacitors used by the whole vessel. These massive capacitors then distribute power into the batteries dedicated bank of power capacitors. This bank then discharges into an overcharger which stores its power in a third bank of capacitors which directly feed the individual battery providing constant stable power.
