Kartika SuperMall

As the largest shopping mall in First Order territory, the Kartika SuperMall is a mall that comprises over 1,500 shops, with 13 anchor tenants, with over 500,000 square meters of leasable space (almost 6 million square feet) over four levels. It thus ranks among the largest shopping malls in the galaxy and near the largest in the Outer Rim. Points of interest include the Lipsync Arcade, famous for its wide variety of karaoke stations, the Lipstick Depot who, on top of selling lipstick for every Human and Near-Human species, also sells other cosmetics for the same species and, finally, the Hauteclerc Haute Couture, selling high fashion from thousands of different worlds. The food court includes over 9,000 total seating, as well as the largest Jabba the Pizza Hutt franchise in First Order territory, and over 66 restaurants.

Galactic Cosmetics Museum

The Galactic Cosmetics Museum has collections on four publicly-accessible above-ground levels, an attic for storage and a basement for special collections as well as a cosmetics shop. In front of the Museum, there is an expansive plaza taking up almost as much space as the Museum itself. Behind the Galactic Cosmetics Museum are two high fashion shops, the flagship shops of Brint and Galmia Pepe respectively on Lipsec. It houses a permanent exhibit on the history cosmetics manufacturing processes, as well as one exhibit apiece on each major category of cosmetics, such as lipstick, eye liner, eye shadow, face powder, cologne, nail polish and hair color.

Hauteclerc Haute Couture flagship store

Headquartered on Lipsec, Hauteclerc Haute Couture operates a flagship store spanning three floors in one of the city's downtown skyscrapers. It contains over 20,000 square feet of retail area for a wide array of haute couture clothing and fashion accessories. In the wake of the Lipstick Express boosting tourism to Lipsec, sales have doubled in the flagship store, given the taste of the First Order upper crust for high-end fineries such as those sold at Hauteclerc Haute Couture. It was also a finalist for the First Order best commercial design prize.

University of Lipsec

The University of Lipsec is renowned across First Order space for two things: its programs in fashion (design, commercialization, management) and chemistry; otherwise the University isn't overly high on the galactic academic totem pole. Most chemistry majors find jobs in the local cosmetics industries in rather short order. The oldest building in the university is called Revlon Building, whish is known by locals as the Green Castle. Occupying the tip of the confluence, it is the oldest spot in the city still extant today. It was relocated to Maybelline after the old campus at another location on Lipsec has been destroyed circa 137 ABY by the One Sith.

Description: Built at the confluence of two rivers, Maybelline is known among the First Order as being one of the prime fashion capitals in the dark-sided world. Also, the climate of the city may be a little cold and humid but the residents are among the most fashionable in the galaxy. The innermost areas of the city are areas where the residents live and shop clothing, among other merchandise which is, if locally produced, made in factories built in the outer ring of the city. But the contrast is rather stark between the lower classes of the population and the upper classes of the population, which live in penthouses on the higher levels. It also features a high concentration of artists and other creative minds compared to most other First Order cities of similar size.

History: Initially built to house the rebuilt campus of the University of Lipsec, whose first incarnation was destroyed in the wake of the One Sith attack on Lipsec in 137 ABY, Maybelline was named after the university's rector at the time of reconstruction. At the time, the university was home to nearly 25,000 students, and the city was much like any normal college town in that region of space, with the associated town-and-gown tensions: riots and other criminal occurrences normally associated with such tensions, like vandalism, noise problems, were commonplace in the early centuries of existence of the university, until the university's in-person campus was closed during the Gulag Plague due to the health hazards it posed.

By 750 ABY the city's renewal was spurred by the fame achieved by its residents in the fashion industry within the Koradin Sector, which allowed the city to grow beyond its reputation as a college town, and also to retain the talent the University creates and nurtures. The city only recently became a force in the galactic fashion market after the First Order took possession of Lipsec, wasting no time in initiating infrastructure projects for economic recovery. Since Star Tours launched the Lipstick Express, tourism and fashion shopping shot up dramatically, and Lipsec now attracts tourists who primarily visit the city for shopping at all levels.

Intent: To expand on Lipsec locations beyond those used in actual RPs
