May the Hunt Begin!

Mos Espa
Tatooine

Syn arrived on Tatooine not too long after he chatted with Papoa. He'd do as he promised the Hutt and find her a Krayt Dragon. One to bring back to her 'Palace'. While it would have been amazing to tackle the beast alone, Syn wasn't exactly ready to die just yet.

He got into contact with [member="Ursula Vizla"]. Who was quite the Mandalorian and perfect backup for Syn. The Alor of House Vizla was set to meet him at what an abandoned bar. The 'Purple Savant' as it were called was owned by a hutt who happened to die during the invasion. Of course that meant that someone would in due time take over the place.

Yet until then, Syn did as he wished. Preparing his weaponry, and the like using the place as a sort of base of operation. The Purple Savant was decent looking for somewhere on Tatooine. But Syn didn't plan to stay there long, sitting and drinking what he could find while he waited for her. And as a 'gentlemen' making sure to pour her a glass of rum as a sign of good will.

It wouldn't be long before she arrived and the pair went off on their mission. The fun would soon begin as the hunt neared.

Arriving in Tatooine was always a sight for sore eyes. She hated the heat in that place, but actually enjoyed seeing the desert landscapes in the planet, a world that once belonged to the proud and corrupt Hutt races, now held a Confederacy flag. It was a crazy galaxy, in her opinion, but what you’re gonna do? Ursula arrived at the coordinates that the peers of Poparas Palace sended to her, and after dropping off the ship, the girl removed the helmet. There was no need for one in Tatooine, it was now a peaceful planet, and the forces of the separatists were everywhere.

“Ok…”, she grabbed her Lancer Sniper Rifle, strapped the damn thing in her back and blasters on the hip. As soon as she barged in the pub, her eyes noticed how empty the damn place was. War had taken its toe on that place, poor owner. “Where is…”, she said, looking at the big and tall figure of a fellow mandalorian. At first, with no helmet, Ursula with her flame like hair was quite the vision. Her black pitch armor gleaned clean, she polished the damn thing every night before going to sleep. When close, Ursula raised her voice in a husky tone. “Syn Blacken... You got here fast. Shall we hunt down the beast already, or do plan on buying the girl a drink to see where it goes?”

'Why not both?' Syn said finishing off his glass of rum. Ursula was just as beautiful as they'd told him. Yet from all he'd heard about her, he knew she was incredibly deadly.

She was far from the kind of person one should joke about with. But Syn was Syn. 'Have a seat, drink a little and then we'll move onto the hunt. All of my best hunts are always after a nice drink or two.' Syn wondered how she would respond to that. Might serve as some entertainment before the big hunt, or she'd simply insult him. Mandalorians could swing things both ways. [member="Ursula Vizla"] was likely not going to be any different.

Vizla sat in the next seat. But she dismissed with a gesture of her hand when the bartender went to serve her a glass of cheap rum, keeping her sniper rifle close to her body while she sat. With a cold expression in her face, her harsh set of eyes set on the fellow mandalorian, with a very thin smile in the outmost corner of her lips.
“I don’t drink before a job like that. Clouds my judgement. And to hunt a great krayt dragon?”, she asked that question almost like a whisper.

If the others in the bar heard about it, they would probably think they were fools. Or worse. She never hunted down such big animal in her life, but could almost feel like the Mandalorians of old when they fought the mythosaur for control of entire worlds. “And neither should you. A Canyon Krayt Dragon is easy to kill… 20 to 30 meters of pure hunger. But a Greater Krayt Dragon?”, those were death in the shape of a monster. 100 meters or more, hard to find because they sank their bodies in the sand, and swimmed through the dunes. Hard to track, hard to catch.

'It'll all work well.' Syn said with a chuckle. 'I don't plan on getting drunk. A glass of rum won't bother much.' As he said that he rose from his seat and finished off his glass.

'How would you like to proceed with our objective?' He wondered how she'd like to do it. He had his own ideas but of course working with another two brains were smarter one.

“I will shoot some tranquilizers in that baby. You, on the other hand, can serve as bait, if you want to.”, that said, Ursula got up in her seat, starting a calm walk back from where she came. “I got a tip about a one not far from here.”

Walking back from where she came, Ursula was a little worried about some stuff. She never faced a big dragon before in her life, and those were dangerous animals. The tip said that in a cave north from here was a Krayt Dragon and his lair, where he preyed on jawas and other stuff with a deadly precision.

"Shall we take a speeder?", in her mind Vizla wondered how would Syn take the big thing back to Popara. He should have a pretty big ship to do such thing, she only hoped the womp rats would not be attracted by the their smell and decided to have a snack with their flash. As she walked down the street, her hazel eyes looked upon the desert sea sand almost seeing her destination.

'Wonderful' Syn said as he got up to follow Ursula. Her plan to make him bait was dangerous but it seemed fun. Danger was what made his job interesting.

Even more so given just how deadly a Krayt Dragon was. All the while Syn just hoped he wouldn't end up dying. If he were able to capture this thing, and maybe even find its way into the things cave.

Who knew what kind of loot he could end up with. 'Yes Ma'am, speeder it is.'

As they took the speeder and drove out the desert seas of Tatooine, Ursula thought how calm and and wild this place was at the same time. Hundreds of beasts hide within the sand, sarlaccs and giant rats, they had Jawas and Sand People lurking all around them and they did not even knew about it. A lot was happening all around the planet, good and bad, and yet here they were, hunting a beast.

“Such a beautiful desert.”, the woman said out loud from inside her helmet, could never drive without it. All it took was one grain of sand in her eye to make her go off course and crash the speeder in the dunes. And as Ursula approached the coordinates with Syn Bracken at her side, the mandalorian kept thinking how strangely romantic was this ride. Two mandalorian riding through the desert sea, in order to hunt down a beast to make some money and fame. If that wasn’t romantic, that she had no idea what that word meant.

Suddenly stopping the speeder car they were, Vizla raised her arm and removed her helmet with the other one. Pointing her finger to a big cave, almost hidden with the sand dunes that covered that planet.
“There.”, smiling with the contest they would face, she turned her hazel eyes to Syn. “Wanna be the bait?”

[member="Syn Blacken"]

'Being bait is where I best fit.' Syn said as he quickly made sure everything on him was prepared for what he'd soon face. 'You will very much so owe me a drink by the way.'

Syn could feel his heart sinking into his stomach as he began to make his way towards the cave. Armed beyond belief and yet still fearful. 'You owe me more than just one drink now.' He said trying to lighten up the mood for himself.

While the man slowly walked forward the cave, Ursula smiled at him, leaning down in the sandy floor to aim the rifle at the entrance of the cave, noticing he standing there still, while no movement came out of the cave. Like the beast hadn’t noticed him, or maybe was sleeping still, she had no idea which, she only knew it was good money, a lot of good money, that she want it.

Slowly she brought one hand from the rifle to her waist, grabbing a big and loud pistol, aiming straight forward, watching Syn in her aim, and then slowly, with finger on the trigger, Ursula shot. Twice, against the entrance of the cave, listening as the echo of her shots made a loud noise, and she let go of her hand, saying at the com in her forearm.

“Sorry for that, Syn. Was trying to wake the big girl inside the cave.”, and after a long moment of silence, Ursul sighed, “Guess it didn’t…”, she immediately stopped talking, when a loud and horrible roar took hold of her ears, the krayt dragon was awake. And it was pissed. She was, after all, awaken by her next meals, and that was something unforgivable in the mind of such creature.

Not long, the loud sound of her walking inside the cave was heard, or could be heard by them, and Ursula stopped looking through the gun look, watching with her hazel eyes, the enormous shadow coming out of the cave.

[member="Syn Blacken"]

Syn was facing Ursula when he heard it. A fearsome roar followed by a rumbling inside the cave. He turned around just in time to spot the deadly beast. The giant Krayt dragon had began to leave its cave, just as Syn began to run.

Running as fast as he possibly could utilizing the force to help speed him up. Syn wanted to do what he could to ensure the beast only focused on him. He didn't say a single thing, simply kept on running.

All the fear he'd felt before seemingly disappeared. He wasn't focusing on that, only trying to survive long enough for Ursula to down the beast.

[member="Ursula Vizla"]

When the beast came off its cave, Ursula excepted a canyon krayt dragon to have as a gift for Popara, but the creature itself was quite different. Once she heard the rumours, about the red dragon species, with their three horns and nine meters, faster and more aggressive than the common yellowish dragon.

As the mandalorian began to run off, Ursula aimed the gun at the monster. Watching as Syn was running around to get his attention, one that he was certainly getting it, for its crimson head kept still, red eyes looking for his next meal. But the dragon never moved, it seemed worried about leaving her cave and Ursula could figure why.

Shooting with the blaster on the stone just next to its feet, Ursula got what she came for, as the beast started to roar and took off after Syn, each leg covering a great distance to try and catch him. ‘He does run fast…’, she thought to herself, aiming the sniper rifle in the sand and preparing to take a clear shot.
"Run, boy, run.", she murmured at the comlink, watching the dragon speed up after him.

[member="Syn Blacken"]

And Syn did just as she said. He sprinted as fast as he could, hearing the beasts monstrous steps nearing. 'OPEN FIRE! KILL THE DAMN THING' Syn shouted, trying to get her to open fire. He was unsure if she thought this was some twisted game, or something.

Syns armor slightly weighed him down but he used the force to help him move quicker. He was a few moments away from shooting himself off with the jet pack that sat upon the mans back. Either that or turning and completely unloading everything onto the giant beast.

All of it merely waited on Ursula to act or continue on playing some kid of game with him.

Three times Ursula shot three darts towards the canyon krayt dragon while the beast chased the mandalorian male like he was nothing more than a snack. Slowly holding his little game as he stopped moving and sat on the sand, with heavy eyes.

“Ok. You can stop now.”, she said to the comlink, watching as the dragon fell in the sand like a thunder, knocked out by the tranquilizers she shot in his neck. “We are going to get rich.”, Ursula said to him, standing up in the sand, without her helmet, raising her sniper rifle high in the air, cheering for their victory. Until a loud and huge roar took hold of the air.

“What in the name of the Mand’a…”, and a moment later, the huge, white and wild figure of a immense whale jumping off the sand and falling like a mountain in the area next to them appearad. A creature with probably one hundred meters long, god only knew how many legs and big, yellow, hungry eyes, for that thing was no canyon lizard, that was a Great Krayt Dragon. Ursula stood there, looking at the thing with her eyes wide open.

“Run.”, she murmured to Syn and herself, “RUN!”, Vizla said starting to run, praying for Syn not to start shooting that thing so she would not notice them. Otherwise, they were done. Dead in Tatooine, eat by his greatest predator ever.
