Landscape Gardens
One of the most beautiful sights, the gardens are meticulously taken care by 3 experienced gardeners. Plants, shrubs and flowers are neatly grown and arranged to achieve a grand imposing effect. A grand water fountain provides a calming effect with its graceful jets of water. Different breeds of flowers in the gardens bloom in different seasons, ensuring there are always flowers to be admired regardless of the weather. The gardeners take great pride in their work, comparing their gardens to artwork. Judging from the results, one can safely say that they have succeeded.
Manor / Château
The manor is a grand piece of architecture showcasing the elegant Alderaan style. The structure provides the owner of the vineyard a stunning place of residence to call home. it comes complete with eye dropping amenities such as 10 bed rooms, 2 living rooms, 2 study rooms with rows of terminals, 5 toilets with the whitest porcelain bathtubs and sinks, 2 swimming pools (one indoors and one outdoors), a fancy lounge offering a great view of the magnificent valleys below, 1 kitchen, 5 parking lots for hover vehicles, 2 attics. Renovations are done to add an exercise zone, a holomovie theatre and a personal armoury room with shooting range. Gordon Crett, the butler runs the manor efficiently with the help of 3 maids and 1 chef.
Vineyards
The vineyards are the lifeblood of the whole estate. Located near the estate, the fertile fields and fair weather allows the growth of grapes of different varieties, including the most famous emerald grapes. The grapes are classified into different grades based on their appearance, taste and juiciness. Only the best yields are chosen to be made into the highest grade of wines certified "protected designation of origin" (P.D.O.) by Alderaan government.
Underground cellar
The underground cellar serves two purposes. The storage of wines, including barrels made from decades ago in a cool temperature. The second purpose is to contain the fermentation tanks used to make the wines. All wines are made under the supervision of experienced wine makers that had been working in the vineyards. With the grapes ready for winemaking, they are placed into the fermentation tanks and yeast is added. Careful monitoring of the progress in the cool environment is the secret of making the best wines across the galaxy.
Backyard
The backyard is designed to serve a more utilitarian purpose as compared to the gardens in front of the house. Plants and flowers continue to decorate the area, but lounge chairs and a new BBQ pitch are added. The outdoor swimming pool is also located here.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The original planet of Alderaan had been destroyed centuries ago by the Empire. Later on, new Alderaan had been terra-formed and Alderaanians came back to live, bringing their experience in wine making. However, many bloodlines of Alderaan families had already been lost. So while the customs and secrets of wine making continued in the new planet, some of the bloodlines began a slow decline, eventually expiring and end with the last descendants. This particular estate was originally owned by an Alderaan family which had ended its bloodline, allowing outsiders to make a bid for purchase. The price had been exorbitant, but Mariya had the support from her faction, the Collective which had established its mandate for economical growth. Expansion in new businesses such as the lucrative wine industry was easily justified, making the new CEO a proud owner of the new estate.
With the new purchase, Mariya made several changes. The most obvious change was the namesake to Masha, a diminutive form of her name. The second change was the additional of new amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, an exercise area and a new holomovie theatre room. The mercenary preferred to maintain her fitness whenever possible and also fancied the idea of having a giant screen to watch her shows. Although so far, she found herself not using the room too often. The backyard had seen more action though, with the inclusion of a new high tech BBQ pit and lounge chairs. Her favourite place was the armoury though, where she could fine tune her shooting skills in the nearby shooting range.
