Private Marine Meeting

It had been a while since Reina had visited Naboo. But considering she had recently came across her long-lost sister and found out that Alexis had been staying at Theed, Reina had a new excuse to come to the planet. It was a pretty nice planet all things being said. Sure, Reina felt like she stuck out as a sore thumb since she wasn't all prim and properly dressed like some of the people she saw on the streets but that wasn't important today. She was taking a few hours away from her sibling catch up to go and visit the Order's Temple on Naboo. Ever since she had met Aiden, Reina had wanted to visit the Temple. Of course, she had changed since that meeting. Her face wore the scars, literally. But it hadn't changed who she was inside.

The journey there had given Reina a chance to stretch her leg out anyway, and to make sure her prosthetic leg was working at full power. The little tricks she had learned for dealing with it had been a Spirit Send. It was going to be interesting to try and get to know how other Order Temples looked. She was used to that of the New Jedi Order, from visiting Tython, Jedha, Coruscant. But she got an entire different vibe from being on Naboo. It was a vibe she was willing to entertain for a little while, even if she felt like she might not fit in. Maybe she should have sent some kind of message in advance that she wanted to visit. She wasn't sure how strict the members of this Order was...Aiden hadn't seemed to bad when she had met him.

She stood at the steps of the Temple as she arrived, resting her hand against the hilt of Pequod. The Lightsaber was a reminder to Reina that she was a Jedi. It was partly her right to come and see the Temple. Even with all of the nerves that were slowly starting to build up, she carried on up the steps. If she truly wanted to learn how to protect people, she needed to learn more about the Galaxy, instead of just staying in her own little circle. Time to see who she could find in the Temple...and perhaps not entirely attack them with questions, but see what life is like here.

Shiraya's Sanctuary

Each step that was taken to ascend the stairs was mirrored in silence by the barefoot girl a few paces behind Reina. Staring intently at the new arrival as if Mellomere might learn something by simply gazing at her.

It never worked but it was worth a shot.

Bare feet and skin in the beginning stages of knowing the suns kiss was paired with warm toned clothing that moved like the wind blew. Hair flowing like grass caught by a breeze as she kept each step purposefully quiet while enjoying the warm stone that greeted each movement.

The Ersansyr had spotted the new person to speak with some time ago.

Eagerly trailing until she was confident she could come close enough to hear the newcomer speak. Using tricks her pod had long ago drilled into her to hide her presence in case they were hunted. To anyone watching, it seemed like she was stalking the girl.

But she wasn't a danger to someone wielding one of those angry buzz swords.

At least she didn't want to be anyway.

"Hello!" Mellomere finally announced herself as the girl took a few more steps forward. Giving some distance between them so it was hopefully a little less surprising that she suddenly appeared.

A wide beaming smile aimed at the newcomer as her hands rose in a single silent clap.

"Where are you from? Are you sight-seeing? It's a pretty view around here if you are! Oh I know a few good spots that are really pretty at sunset if you are staying a while! How long will you be here and have you had anything to eat? They serve some pretty good stuff in the–in the. The uh. Oh clamshells. The eating place. The big one, where everyone sits and talks. With all the smells and noise." The brilliant smile fading now as her folded hands pressed to her lips in thought.

Eyes intently focused on a speckled piece of stone inlaid to the steps while her thoughts swirled.

She hadn't expected to have someone following. Though that was part of the point of hiding your presence if you thought about it. There had been no chance she would have been able to hear the footsteps either, with the whirring of Reina's leg whenever she moved. In the past, she might have reacted negatively, ready to throw fists but she had learned to restrict that part of herself as she spun around on the heel of her actual foot, giving the stranger a small smile.

The first thing she took in was the hair. It was...colourful. To say the least. The smile was dazzling as well, even as it was starting to fade. Reina was always jealous of those kind of people. The ones who had a dazzling smile that more often than not could stun people into silence. Of course, Reina wasn't one of those people. She wasn't stunned in silence, it was more...trying to figure out what words she wanted to use as she folded her arms along her front, grinning ever so slightly.

"I...It's a long story for where I'm from. I'll just say I'm from...Tython for now. That's where I live."

Reina wasn't as much of a professional yapper as the stranger seemed to be, as she held her hand out towards them. It was the polite thing to do to shake someone's hand right? Or was she meant to do a bow like you would with other Jedi...Urgh. It was a pain trying to figure all of this respectful stuff out.

"I'm Reina...or Raini. You can use either. Long story. I might stay for a while. Not sure yet. I haven't had anything to eat yet...and I presume you mean the Mess Hall?"

Also...that was an interesting phrase. Clamshells. It wasn't something Reina had heard anyone else say. If anything, it made Reina grin. The slight chance that she had met someone else who was aquatic focused was exciting. Even if she tried to hide that, trying to force the smile away.

"What about you? Where are you from?"

Shiraya's Sanctuary

The word Tython dragged her from the deeper thoughts of the universe. Eyes lighting up as an overjoyed smile emerged from where her tip-of-the-tongue anxiety had been.

"Oh you are from Tython too! We just had a boy from there! Fas–No. Has–nope. Kas! His name was Kas!" The aha moment striking like lightning with a cheer in each word.

Elated by recalling the name as she bounced in place.

The energy there and gone as she realized a hand had been extended to her. Blinking once before extending her own hand. Unsure if she should watch the girls, Reina, eyes or watch the hand. Awkwardly fulfilling the ritual.

The sharing of a name, then two which made her lips purse.

"Does everyone have two names? I only go by Mellomere but it seems like everyone else has another part to their name and that's a bit different I guess but also makes sense too since you all vary so much and if you all had similar names it would make it really weird to call someone's name in a crowd and get like a hundred people looking at you because you didn't say the second name.
"
There was no audible pause in her words. The sentences rolling together in a supernatural way.

Pausing only to let Reina speak as Mellomere glowed the mention of the mess hall.

"Yes! That. It can get a bit noisy and they have rules about eating in the kitchen but the food's good!" A light laugh leaving her at the question of where she is from.

"Here sort of but really we moved here from another place and I don't really miss it since the waters so warm here compared to the last place which is really strange since its like a big ocean out there with some really big scary things living down in the deep parts but it's pretty easy to avoid them if you watch them real close and it really helps to pay attention to what the Gungans say since they live down there and they've got such a unique way of speaking but yeah my pod lives in Freeport and I swim here."

Wow. She was a...real bundle of energy. Infectious in a way, if it wasn't evident by the slowly growing grin across Reina's face. In the past, she'd have found the energy annoying but now? It was nice to see someone with this amount of energy as Reina gave a short nod. Kas. She remembered the name. He was the one who had gotten attacked by Flesh Raiders a while ago. Interesting. So he had visited here as well?

She just made sure to give Mellomere a firm handshake before folding her arms along her front once more. It was a habit of hers. Just to be ever so slightly defensive. Reina opened her mouth to reply to the two names question...before she noticed Mellomere kept talking. And talking. And talking. Okay. She was lucky that this amount of energy didn't annoy Reina anymore, or the redhead would have started walking away here and now.

"I...Most people have a family name. Or a last name. Raini isn't my last name though. It's just...Like I said. A long story. I have two names. One from my family Raini, and one from the people who raised me Reina. I mostly use Reina. Also...wow. You...really like to talk. I don't mean that in a bad way. It's nice to listen to."

Pod. That was...an interesting choice of words to use. Mellomere was also mentioning a lot about water, so the assumption that she was aquatic based made sense. Reina's gaze went to Mellomere's hair for a moment. Reina had met at least one person who was similar with having colourful hair...She wondered...

"...By any chance, are you an Ersansyr? I met one of them before. A Jedi Knight. I went on a mission with her. I thought I was good at swimming but...by the Spirit, she proved me wrong. She even said I might have some Ersansyr blood in me...I'm not sure myself. I can't breathe underwater or anything unfortuantely. I'd love to though. It's always so beautiful when I go diving."

Small talk. She was doing good at that right? Sure, she wasn't speaking a thousand words a minute and seemed a bit hesitant at talking, but she was trying. That was what was important at the end of the day.
