DESCRIPTION

4M is a wholly owned entity of Clan Saandyr and was formed as a conglomerate to facilitate the exploitation of the planet's mineral wealth and provide the economic impetus to fuel the economy and form a basis for growth and prosperity of Maridun. Profits are used to fund the Clans operating expenses and planetary infrastructure but while profits are important the company is also tasked with providing gainful employment to the population. Employment is on an apprentice, journeyman, master system resembling the pillars of the Resol'nare. Employees are to wear their company uniform at work and a company badge when not, mentor and assist fellow employees, contribute to the betterment of the company and be loyal to their company. The speaking Mando'a and self-defense pillars are not applied as a duty. In return employees can expect to be treated well and justly compensated. Unless other factors intervein most employees stay with the same company (sometimes in different roles) for their entire career and when they are no longer able to contribute are provided a secure retirement. The company is not necessarily benevolent per se and can be demanding but they are fair and the leadership understands that a company is only as strong as their employees and that a stable, productive and content society is as valuable as profit.

Perhaps due to a affinity with the corporate culture, a disproportionate number of immigrated Ugnaughts (affectionately called Snorts) and Uti (called Shorts) have sought employment with the company and have proven to be valuable employees. So much so that it is becoming common for companywide Holonet instructions and safety directives to be signed of with the phrase 'I have spoken.'

The Company is loyal to the Saandyr Clan and by extension, the Mandalorian Empire. They prioritize Mandalorian interests, they are willing to deal and trade with (almost) anyone that is not hostile to Clan or Mandalorian interests. The Company, understandably, will not, no matter the reason, do business with the Gungan's but are otherwise happy to do contract with individuals as long as the quantity or volume of the request is feasible.

RATIONALE

The 4M company was founded by the Clan elders and ownership is held by them in trust for the benefit of the Clan and citizens of Maridun. Executive governance follows the pattern of traditional clan customs but differs in that the clan lawgiver acts as the CEO with the clan Ver'alor as COO in order to provide a system of checks and balances between the Clan and Company. The other members of leadership are either Clan elders or elected by the Elders due to knowledge or skill. The character Dral-Karta Saandyr is the CFO. The company's mandate is to strengthen the Clan and economy of Maridun on order to create a stable, orderly and prosperous planet.
