As a new member of the sith, Mariah knew she must construct a blade of her own, and one for her inevitable proxy she planned to make. And so she began construction on two identical weapons. The Initiation, her reference to the fact they were a near instant response to her joining in the first place, is a set of two identical lightsabers. WIth slightly thicker and elongated handles for something that produces a single blade, instead, equipped with two specific features to assist Mariah in her own personal limitations. Those being, the usage of a small and specialized particle shield, a caution against those pesky high speed slugs or weaponry others like mandalorions or even other sith might try to use against her. And then water shielding, to insure she could use it even underwater, somewhere she had actually become quite used to by now.
It did also have a third, at some expense, relatively minor, Mariah laid hands on a Lorrdian crystal, one which would enhance the users predictive abilities. Meaning though she was not as experienced in the acts of precognition, she may get an additional heads up when wielding the weapon.
Otherwise, the two Initiation’s are barely any different than a standard blade. Featuring the standard setting modifications most should have such as stun settings and some control of the length when modifying the weapon. It is relatively easy to repair.

- Lorrdian crystal enhances predictive abilities allowing both greater offense and defense.

This modification goes along with the handles increased size, and is a very complicated system that is capable of generating locational Particle Shields that can wrap around the hilts and users hands and refuse entry to anything new. Via control switches it can instead re-direct all the weapons energy into forming a single particle shield with a 1.5 foot radius.
