A small energy shield and particle shield are activated during transport to ensure minimal destructive capabilities if harmed, reinforced from Ion and EMP through the use of Plastiray. All in an easy to read display console for easy handling and diagnostic output.
Strengths:

With the redistributor going underway, the desire came from Mara Tibx to be able to collect and transport a viable portable solution of smaller amounts of Quintessence. The solution resulted in the MaraTibx BDC-78 Energy Collector.
Quintessence has been harnassed by Arceneau Trade as a source of sustainable Energy. The company has pioneered in being able to use the technology of old and provide sustainable energy through the collection of Dark Energy, its refinement into Quintessence, and distribution. While this is only as powerful as your typical hyper matter or antimatter reactor in terms of energy, it is a venue that brings forth a stepping stone for the future of cheap, sustainable energy.
Aware of this, safety was paramount when it came to transportation. A combination of energy shields, particle shields, and a thermal oscillator was built into around the hollow chamber that would hold the Quintessence energy. It generated an oscillating containment field which allowed the installation to expend considerably less energy at containing the dark energy than would be required using a steady containment field.
To ensure the electrical components were able to survive an accidental Ion or EMP attack, all electrical components are sprayed down with Plastiray. None the less, if all these failsafe fail, then the resulting explosion of a direct hit may be that of a thermal detonator.
Energy in these portable collectors may last a small city for at least two months before requiring to be refilled.
