PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Mar's armor is, generally, a gunmetal gray with a light gray flightsuit and thicker padding. His helmet represents the only notable deviation; black trim and brass-colored assemblies with a hazard stripe pattern to one side. The helmet features an orange visor. On his breastplate is an emblem of a Summa-verminoth. He is rarely ever seen without a backpack and excavation equipment.

The Summa? I don't want to talk about that; it's not your story to know and not mine to tell, sorry. Some of the purest iron I've ever seen though, look at the shine of it!

INVENTORY

Standard Mandalorian Armor (Durasteel Plating - Beskar Helmet - Beskar Summa-verminoth emblem.) | Thermal Detonators (Shaped Charges) | Beskar-headed entrenching tool | Vibro-pickaxe | Vibro-shovel | Backpack | Grappling hook | Hydrospanner | SX-21 Scatter Blaster

A cargo crate full of scrap and ancient curios only valuable to incredibly niche collectors or museum curators; definitely not Mandalorians (in other words; mostly junk without great effort and research expended.) Cargo crate is transportable, but typically remains on Mandalore.

Durasteel is good enough, friend.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Generally speaking, Mar is very casual in his demeanor and is willing to talk anyone's ear off. One of the more atypical traits he has is an apathy towards combat. Most Mandalorians take the time to hone their skills into almost an artform. Mar isn't necessarily a slouch- he does enough to be combat effect by Mandalorian standards. The man just hates it. He finds it boring. Mar isn't a coward; he will rise to the occasion if he has to fight and will do so with quiet professionalism, but he'll be bored to tears unless his adrenaline is pumping. No, what gets Mar going is discovery. By trade, he is a salvager. By happenstance and passion, he's an amateur archaeologist. Nothing makes Mar happier than spending a day's worth of labor digging a hole through an ancient landfill and finding some obscure relic he's never going to sell outside of dedicated patrons.

Notably, he never takes off his helmet.

It's not like I was born in a covert or anything. Jedi ... pray to holocrons or something, my helmet stays on. It's the Way it is.

STRENGTHS

+ Excellent Excavator | + Excellent Salvager

WEAKNESSES

- Too Trusting | - Sensitive to "Space-Sickness"

Mar is cursed with an affliction that makes him incredibly sensitive to the effects of artificial gravity. The symptoms can be mitigated with medication he usually has on hand, but the result is similar to sea-sickness left untreated. Mar doesn't have qualms with starships or space stations beyond their effects on his body. Without medication, the effects are debilitating. This sickness seems to only be caused by gravity generators; rotational gravity, acceleration, micro-gravity, and natural gravity regardless of its intensity do not trigger this reaction. He is confident it isn't psychological; but given the rareness of the disease, researchers aren't sure how the effects manifest or why gravity generators cause them.

Manda, I hate this. Forgot the pills back home; I'm going to hide out in the 'freshers until we make planetfall.

HISTORY

Mar was born the youngest of four siblings on Mandalore Prime to a Supercommando father and a Death Watch mother strictly adhering to the ancient and highly orthodox "Way of the Mandalore." He was raised as if he was a part of two worlds, the old and new of Mandalorian society. With him, he brings the easy demeanor of his father shrouded behind the physical manifestation of his mother's orthodoxy practiced as a matter of habit. He has many stories of his upbringing and career that he shares freely regarding the world he came from, his more interesting discoveries, as well as frustrated acknowledgements of battle's he's fought in. Mar's life has, despite his interests and parentage, been unremarkable. He grew up as most Mandalorians do, martial as a matter of culture rather than desire, and his passions and pursuit of a livelihood drew him to salvaging and scavenging.

I'm not that interesting. We should get digging, that's where the stories are.
