Cortosis Weave durasteel shaft

Staff can be seperated.

Experimental Alloy at tips of staff.

Experimental Powercells

Strengths:

Unusually high cutting power: The near frictionless materials used in the tips of the double headed pike allow it to cut through extremely tough materials much more easily then even normal Force pikes. Multiple strikes against thick sheets of metal revealed near effortless passing through the material. Even phrik alloy showed signs of scratch damage when examined with a microscope.

Effortlessly swift: The experimental vibration cells are designed to maximize cutting power while reducing any unwanted effects that would hinder the staff being wielded as easily as it was before the modifications took place.

Surprise!: The staff can be seperated in a fight, allowing attacks from different angles, and better parrying.

Lights out: High yield powercell enable it to deliver powerful electrical shocks through heavy armor, and shocks powerful enough to render unconcious much larger and heavier targets, such as wookiees, or even Mandellian Giants.

Weaknesses:

Vulnerable to lightning: As with all vibration cell weaponry, it is vulnerable to Force Lightning, which could cause the power cells to explode.

Build up: Maple's staff has the same danger as her cane: the base is vulnerable to heat build up on certain areas from repeated lightsaber blows.

High Profile :The modifications done to it are obvious and mark it as a weapon, meaning it will be more difficult for her to pass through areas unnoticed.

Powercells have overheat flaw: In exchange for increased cutting power, at kill setting they consume more power, and the battery cuts power if it risks overheating, leaving it a dead stick, or otherwise runs dry after fifteen minutes of continuous use at the kill setting or max stun setting.

DESCRIPTION

After the liberation of Katanos VII, studies were made of the cybernetic corpses recovered in the field, as well as the catacombs from which they emerged. While most of what they uncovered was wisely left to rot, Maple did uncover a few useful items from a blasted away cyber corpse as she was part of one of the recovery expeditions and salvaging. She uncovered experimental powercells and built in vibro tip weaponry on one corpse, its cortosis-weave, built in vibrotips coated with a near frictionless alloy, though she did not know that until she had it examined by a local metallurgist. Though he offered to pay for the rare materials, Maple declined, instead choosing to heavily modify her prize staff, to let her be better equipped for the battlefield. This staff was first used in the duel that won Maple her ship, the Silent Erika.
