RATIONALE
MFP started when Colonel Harand Saandyr, a retired Mandalorian quartermaster, opened a small restaurant featuring his mother's fried prog recipe with eleven synthesized herbs and spices. Soon demand outstripped supply and his business associate Greedro, a Rodian with a sketchy past and missing index finger, convinced him to expand and soon he was operating several locations. Those locations also proved so popular that the Colonel realized he could grow the company more efficiently and earn a greater profit by franchising his restaurants than running them himself and the MFP corporation was born.
Through the years the franchise grew to be one of the largest fast-food casual dining establishments in the galaxy with thousands of locations on thousands of planets as his philosophy of providing fresh spicy fried prog was very popular among many cultures and planets except for some unknown reason on the planet Kashyyyk. Colonel Saandyr has since passed away and the Saandyr family is no longer involved in the day-to-day operations of the company although they still retain control as the corporation's main shareholders. The significant income received from their interest in the company form the basis of the Saandyr family's and Clan's wealth.
