Man...this needs some upgrades

Day 4

(Translated)

A lot has happened since my first entry. We installed the control wiring, control panels, and inhibitors. Installing the inhibitors was a very remedial task, took several hours. We don't go outside often, in order to preserve heat, but we expect Tek-1 is gone due to the influx of rations on Day 3. Installing the wiring was very, very difficult as my hands are not equipped to handle such small objects. Qaeth and Ke'Cholo are both inexperienced electricians and thus I had to tell them what to do, step-by-step. The control panels were much easy, just unscrewing and replacing a few panels. Sleeping aroudn here isn't much of a problem. We unlocked a private quarters the belonged to the Fetts. I sleep in the bed we found there, Qaeth sleeps as he always does, standing up, and Ke'Cholo slept in the cockpit of Slave I.

Day 6

(Translated)

After almost 2 days of trying to install it, the guidance system is now fully operational. It took us several times to wire it correctly, but it now functions. Ke'Cholo is visibly happy. However, we are low on rations and the air is getting stuffy. We have only a few days of rations left, and no sign of Tek-1, Ke'Cholo and Qaeth remain optimistic. Towards the afternoon, after we installed the guidance system, we began placing the plates on the new ships. It seems more aesthetic, but Qaeth insists it is needed. The ship looks quite ugly as the colors are all miss-matched, but apparently Ke'Cholo sent a last minute message to Tek-1 asking for paint. Not many more plates are needed to finish the job, I suppose we will get it done tomorrow. Ke'Cholo says that if we have to we can fly to a local spaceport and pick up some rations if the crew is not back in time.

Day 9

(Translated)

Today was our last day of rations. We ran out of food at lunch time, even with minimal eating for the past few days. On the bright side we installed the rest of the plates two days ago. Ke'Cholo has resorted to melting snow over a fire in order to create water, however he shares it with us. Qaeth doesn't appear perturbed, but I am visibly worried. Ke'Cholo managed to spear a small animal with his sword, he didn't share it. I fear he is taking desperate measures. There is no sign of the ship, Ke'Cholo said we depart tomorrow at lunch if they have not returned despite the warnings from Qaeth that the Glasteel isn't strong enough.

Day 11

(Translated)

All is well. Yesterday morning we received a message from Tek-1, she had returned and dropped off both the supplies for the ship and extra rations. We quickly installed the cell locks yesterday, but spent most of the day eating, we were all very hungry even from missing just a meal. The cell locks were fairly easy to install and no one got hurt. In order to move the hyperdrive we requested the assistance of Raxo Trax. He gladly obliged and said he'd be down here tomorrow. Throughout this whole thing, Qaeth stayed abnormally calm and Ke'Cholo did to a certain extent as well.

Final Day, 14 days after the arrival

We finished installing the Glasteel today. It was by far the hardest thing we installed. We forget to get sealer, so it wasn't until today we finally got it installed. We had a close call with the hyperdrive, Raxo almost dropped it on one of the Gasiirs that came with him but we stopped him before he could sit it down. The hyperdrive was installed the day before yesterday and the glasteel, today. Ke'Cholo plans to paint the vessel on board Tek-1 which is where we all are right now. We left Hoth around mid-day and we are currently somewhere in space. As I said, Ke'Cholo is painting the ship and Qaeth is piloting Tek-1. All is well.

Final entry for this series.
