Yuri's foot idly tapped to the beat of a song against the hull of his ship as he watched the crates being loaded into the hull. "You know they're gonna be scannin' the route, right? Ain't no way in hell this much Sillum ain't gonna sprout up some questions." He nearly laughed at his own terrible joke, but for now a smirk had to suffice. The man in charge of the job, a tall Besalisk, turned to look at the Shistavanen with a scowl. "And it's your job to make sure you get this stuff through. Or did I make a mistake takin' you on?' His deep voice rumbled, but Yuri merely shrugged his question off. "You know I'm good for it. Just sayin', this is gonna be a bumpy ride." He remarked as he lit a cigarette.

He had his own plans for the shipment, though. The boss didn't need to know about it, but he found a better buyer for this much medical herbs. He glanced around the derelict warehouse as he waited for them to finish up with the loading process. He wasn't the only transporter, he knew that much. The others were being loaded at another warehouse to keep things discrete. Perhaps he could intercept those, get a bigger payday...

His ears perked up as he turned to study the windows. Either it was his imagination, or he heard someone outside. An odd scent graced his nose as well, making him frown as he pushed off his freighter's hull. He hoped that it was just his imagination. Last thing he needed was another raid interfering with his cash.

Luckily for the attentive hound, his visitor wasn't any rival gang or police... Not that the Padawan wouldn't inform the authorities of any bad things she stumbled upon.

A short Mirialan woman would be walking around, her face glued to a tablet as she focused on reading a map. Obviously she was a little lost, what place was she even looking for again?

Her gaze quickly flicks off her pad as she stumbled upon whatever Yuri was doing, at the moment nothing seemed too off to the young woman.

"H-Hi."

Sophie mumbles, it was easy to see that Yuri's appearance made the woman a tad unsettled. Much like a mouse, this stranger seemed ready to flee in a moment's notice.

Hound from the Underground
A young woman wandered into the facility, drawing a snarl from Yuri as he turned to face her. She looked petrified, but something didn't sit right with her. This had to be some sort of distraction, yet he found himself not immediately reacting. If he sounded the alarm, his deal would fall through, but if he did nothing he would get arrested again. Marching to the girl, his left hand graced the holster strapped to his thigh. "Who the kriff are you?" He muttered with a growl rumbling in his throat.

"Who the kriff is that?!" The Besalisk's booming voice erupted somewhere behind him. That just added a whole new problem into the equation. Thinking quickly, Yuri spun around and wrapped his arm around the girl's neck like an old friend as he pulled her closer. "This is Mara!" He answered with a toothy grin. "Amazing with logistics and she's my co-pilot. Horrible with people though, I told her to stay on the ship." He glanced down at the girl with a glare that could kill.

"Didn't know you got a crew member." The Besalisk approached until he was towering over the two oddballs. "She's new. Picked her up on Alderaan a few weeks back, if you can believe it. Besides, Gryss, those trips get lonesome sometime." The Besalisk's piercing gaze studied Yuri for a moment then shifted to the Mirialan. "Can do a lot better than that, furball." Gryss remarked. "Mara, huh? You keepin' track of all this?" He asked as he gestured to the crates being loaded into Yuri's cargo hold.

Yuri gave her a light squeeze and a cool smile to let her answer before turning towards his ship. Taking the moment, Yuri ushered "Mara" towards the boarding ramp of his ship and into his mess room for some privacy. "I'll sort her out, don't stress." He reassured as he followed after her. Once they were in the mess room, Yuri pressed her against the wall with the barrel of his pistol pointed at her head. "Okay, who the kriff are you." He snarled, leaning in close with teeth bared.

Her heart of course starts to race, seems she found trouble today. There was a temptation to try and squirm away, perhaps even try to blast the two back using the force. Yet despite her intense fear within this very moment she did not give into that temptation, just awkwardly smiling and nodding her head to whatever she was supposed to agree with. Why did most people have to be so scary?

It only got worse as a blaster was almost pressed against her forehead, still she didn't wish to resort to violence.

"S-Sophie! Padawan Sophie Winters!"

She held her hands raised, not near any weapons.

"I... Am lost, I didn't mean to offend!"

To prove- Well at least try and back up her claim of being lost she offers over her pad, if taken and inspected it would show that the young woman was looking for a local soup kitchen in order to volunteer for the day.

"Did I do something wrong?"

She makes an attempt to calm her nerves even in the face of danger, getting results if even just small... It was hard for a mouse such as her.

The girl didn't waste a second to spill the beans and her answer surprised Yuri, and not in a good way. "You're a paddie? You serious right now?" His mane rose as his eyes narrowed into a harsh scowl. She went on to admit that she was lost, raising her datapad for him to inspect.

Yuri took the item and stepped back as he raised the device, allowing him to keep an eye on her as he studied it. It looked like she was telling the truth, however he was amusingly surprised by how badly she got lost. "Holy kriff, how the hell did you kark up this badly?" He snickered as he glanced back at her. "Okay, so you're tellin' me you ain't got a master and a squad of cops waiting on your signal to bust in here?" He asked her, far more seriously as he pressed his barrel against her head. He didn't want to kill her, no good ever came from killing a Jedi. But she had him in a tight situation.

"Okay, so... here's your issue. And it's now my issue too. I got cargo that needs to go somewhere. That guy out there will likely break your back and tear you limb from limb if you try and walk out here now. So... way I see it, you got two options. You can take your chances out there with some really rough characters who don't got an issue going lethal. Or, you hitch a ride, play a role, and do a good deed that'll actually accomplish something." He held her datapad out towards her as a smirk took hold.

"You got five seconds to decide, Gryss is gonna get suspicious if we take any longer." He remarked, spinning his pistol around his trigger finger before dropping it back into his holster.

"Why would I have officers with me? I was actually trying to find one so they could perhaps give me a ride... And hey! Don't pick on me because I got lost! I only just got on this world a week ago thank you very much!"

The young woman lets out a half huff, clearly upset that for one her intelligence was being made fun of, and secondly because he was indeed right at assuming she was a bit of an airhead.

"F-fine, alright alright.. I will help you do whatever task you have, no tricks though! And please no more guns at my head ya?"

Mentally taxing was one way to put this whole thing, but at least he did say the both of them could go do something good... Right?

Hound from the Underground
Perhaps it was better not to explain to the oblivious girl what they were doing when she arrived. That could come later once they were a couple parsecs away from police. She agreed to tag along with him, making him smile as he holstered his weapon. "Welcome to the crew Mara. Hope you're good with numbers, just look like you're countin' stock. Crates are split up in batches of fifty, so just multiply 'em together. Should be a total of fifty crates." He explained, turning to point her to the cargo hold.

"Let me do the talking." He left the mess room and wandered down the boarding ramp to a very annoyed Gryss. "The kriff took you so long?" He asked with all four arms in the air. Yuri waved him off and lit a cigarette. "Girl was living the high life a few weeks ago, Gryss, she look like one of us to you?" He remarked as he glanced up at the Besalisk. Gryss huffed and turned to oversee the loading process.

Once they were done, Yuri closed up his cargo hold and waited for Sophie to join him. Gryss moved over towards Sophie and halted her, stretching a hand out to see her datapad. "Everythin' accounted for, Mara?" He asked with a gruff voice as he glared at her. Yuri tensed up at the spectacle and slowly made his way over to the two.

Ok ok we are making progress here, there was no longer a gun to her head. And thankfully he had given her a task she knew how to do quickly and efficiently thanks to her past. Was it a grim reminder? In a way... Yet at the same time it was nice to know that at least something from the past actually came in to help in such an odd situation.

His comment on her living the high life made the girl chuckle a bit as she swiftly got to work, an easy task and one she cataloged with haste. "Mari" even catching an extra unaccounted for crate that was smaller than the others, it would seem as if it had been tucked away to try and remain hidden or it was put into the pile by accident.

"Yes sir, all listed crates are accounted for... Though curiously I found a smaller one that had either been hidden or was placed into the larger boxes on accident, what do we do with that one?"

She gestures over to a smaller red box that was unmarked, and as Sophie had mentioned... Unaccounted. Roughly the size of a shoebox it wasn't impossible for the thing to end up lost.

Gryss blinked at Mara's explanation as he studied her work. He spared a glance at Yuri and his smug look before looking at the small red box Mara found. "Goes with the rest. Special package for the client. For their eyes only." He glared at Yuri and Mara to make sure they understood him.

"Let's get moving then." Yuri spoke up, hoping to get away from Gryss before any mistakes could happen. The red box had him concerned, but that was something they could sort out once they were in the air. He gave Mara a nudge and gestured to the ship. "Get the cargo secured, I'll get the ship started up." He ordered as he made his way to his freighter, though he was stopped by Gryss with a hand on his shoulder. "I hope for your sake this job goes without a hitch." Gryss muttered, giving Yuri's shoulder a harsh squeeze.

Stifling a grimace, Yuri brushed his hand off and gave a toothy smirk. "Come on Gryss, it's me we're talkin' about." He gave a wave and boarded his ship, not wasting a second to get it airborne.

Once they were in orbit, Yuri calculated the navigation and turned on the autopilot. "Let's see what the story is with that box. Bring it to the mess room." He instructed as he dug around for his toolbox. With a cigarette dangling from his lips, he studied the little box with a frown. "Whaddya think? Tracking device, bomb or something else?" He asked Sophie with a glance.

It all went just fine, Sophie steadily moving the cargo quick enough to not cause anyone to be upset. Once done she leaned against the ship, taking a moment to cool down as moving all that cargo by her small self really punched down her energy.

It would seem like today was going to be a crazy one, the poor girl now finding herself in orbit as the two flew off.. Was it really that hard to just drop her off back at the Temple.

"Please don't joke about such things... The last thing I want right now is to blow up."

She would glance out the window for a moment, starting to get more worried.

"H-Hey I did as asked! Can't you just drop me off back home?"

Sophie tries to assert, she did indeed do just as asked. The Padawan just wanting to go back home by now, never would she have guessed that trying to do a good deed today would rope her into this situation with- Wait, it all made sense now! THEY WERE SMUGGLERS OR SOMETHING?!

"L-Look, I didn't see anything ok?"

She tries to haggle, finally catching on it would seem.

Hound from the Underground
To Yuri's surprise, the girl got more and more flustered until it came to a breaking point with her trying to go back home. Yuri let the ship linger in orbit for a moment as he turned to look at her with a raised brow. "You didn't see anything?" He repeated, letting out a chuckle as he returned his focus to the box in front of him. "Hate to break it to ya, but droppin' you off back at Jedi central ain't gonna work." He admitted calmly with a glance at her.

"You saw what's goin' on, you got names and address... and you got involved. In other words, you're either a suspect or an asset to a crime. Way things are now, I drop you off and I spend twenty to life in Coruscant prison, or I keep you along and you might change your mind. Now gimme a sec, lemme figure out what the hell this box is." He explained to her with a hint of annoyance in his voice. Just how absolutely daft was this girl? Regardless of her reaction, he studied the box and eventually started to tamper with it to see what was inside. The moment it opened, Yuri held his breath as his eyes went wide. "Kriff."

Inside was a handful of thermal detonators, all strapped to a series of circuits. Shoddy work but it could get the job done. He looked up at Sophie and held a finger up before picking up a hydrospanner and a pair of pliers. For the next few minutes he fiddled with the wiring and system to try and figure out what he was looking at. Once that was sorted out, he carefully unplugged a wire from a dataport and snipped the wires linked to the thermal detonators. Once the box was made safe, he let out a long breath and sat back with a wipe to his brow. "Tracking beacon and some fireworks. Kriffer was onto me." He admitted. With a long sigh he set his tools aside and threw the box back into the cargo hold.

"Gryss figured I got something planned. Don't worry though, you might like it." He turned to face the Mirialan with his usual cool smile. "You wanna help put down a criminal and help some people?" He casually pitched to her.
