Tall and narrow, Malek often stands in an authoritative way with his chin held high and his hands usually clasped behind his back. His hair is black, swept off a widow's peak with some of his sides going grey from long-term stress, and his beard is neatly trimmed.
He is pale as a result of often being in a lab far more than being outside. His eyes are dark brown, with nothing else too remarkable about his appearance that doesn't deviate him from the usual human.
He dresses like someone who lives in luxury due to his upbringing. High collars, layered coats in black and red, cut long, with dark-gray robe that compliments him underneath.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Malek is courteous, polite and yet gives off an aura that he never seems sincere about what he does or say. He does not raise his voice or insult anyone directly. He asks questions instead, very patient and calculating if he believes that he will get to the end result.
He has a mind akin to a scholar, constantly seeking knowledge and a means to break the limits of science, in his case, medicine. It is why he eventually decided to pursue the force, not to follow any particular side fanatically, but only if it has the answers that he wants.
He came to the Force very late as an adult, and he still treats it as a discipline instead of a faith. He detests both sides of the "religion", Jedi treating certain knowledge as forbidden whereas Sith only pursue for their selfish wishes. He doesn't want power just for the sake of it, rather he wants the result, and often leans towards the dark side as it offers the results faster for when he wants to sate his curiosity.
He is loyal to the very small number of people who have earned it. Everyone else he treats sparingly.
STRENGTHS
Duelist
He has pursued dueling as a hobby, particularly in terms of fencing in high society. He is quite capable with melee weapons, specifically with fencing-styled weapons.
Applied Biochemistry
A high-class pharmacologist with decades of clinical experience in adrenals, combat stimulants and neurochemical modification. He can push a body far past what physiology allows, his own or somebody else's.
Aristocratic Reach
Due to the nature of his house and by extension, his families business, the Synthos name has a lot of reach through worlds that rely on medicine, a lot of influence is often given for someone like Malek when crates of stims and/or adrenals are in the offering.
WEAKNESSES
A Self-Taught Foundation
He only started to consider learning the force and it's applications as an adult, severely stunting his growth and capability in it. He does seek a teacher, but he's very picky in one that he hopes to find a teacher that shares or at least considers his philosophy, and not one that delves too much to their vices or appetites that are similar to a Sith.
Contempt
He cannot make himself take the uneducated seriously, a lifetime of privilege and education makes him think that unless someone has similar origins and background as him, they're not capable of great things, and there's always some logical reason for someone his station being competent. "That's just a fluke", "They got lucky.", "They had a lot of help."
Built For The Duel, Not The War
He has passable dueling skills, but that's about it. He has no real sense of war, using a blaster, or holding himself competently in a real warzone.
HISTORY
House Synthos is a multi-generational house that makes pharmaceuticals for across the galaxy, there's always a crisis constantly ongoing where medicine is always appreciated, and unless negotiators have some personal spite with the house, it's not uncommon to find some crates belonging to Synthos Pharmaceuticals. It gave Synthos great status, an estate, family business, and an organization that makes and delivers products.
Being born as the third son of his generation, he wasn't held up to the same standards and responsibilities as his siblings. In short, he could pursue his own dreams but the pharmaceuticals of his family business very much intrigued him, and asked for tutors in this regard. By the age of five, he had been assessed and showed signs of force-sensitivity, and an offer was extended to join the Jedi at the time. Malek personally didn't want to go, and his parents had enough influence to make sure that the Jedi couldn't press the issue.
He flourished throughout his young, teenage and adult years. He studied relentlessly, communicated and made appearances with high society, and took up hobbies in his own time, notably fencing as a favorite pasttime. What pushed him as a young adult is his fathers health, he had a degenerative neurological condition, and it became his lifes work to try and find a cure. He went to every possible treatment, every specialist, every experimental drug that he could either buy or invent himself. Most believed that this pursuit of a cure came from a love for his father, but in truth, Malek only saw it as a challenge to overcome, and it frustrated him more that he couldn't crack it over the fact that his father was dying.
When his father passed away, Malek felt like he hadn't exhausted all his options, and that's when he re-considered the force. He held a disdain for it as reading miracles on the force felt like it disobeyed everything science had a foundation in, such as how a force-user with no medical training can close a wound by simply touching it, and every attempt to find solid answers as to how it worked often led into poetry or philosophy, instead of an actual basis for how it worked.
This led into his deep dive into the force, often finding quicker results with the dark side but still very much an amateur overall. It's noted that Malek rarely attends functions or acts as a member of House Synthos anymore despite accessing the rich benefits of being such a member, constantly travelling in the galaxy looking for his own answers, to further his own scientific knowledge and to better understand the force as much as he can.
