Make the Fur Fly (Oka, Mrrew)

[Zanya Reeza]

She didn't know why but Zanya felt odd having received a job through Oka instead of being the one to receive it direct. She felt like she was the one in second place of authority for a bit, even though Oka had insisted it was purely by coincidence and that he wasn't taking charge as long as she was still Captain of the Obsidian. Still she felt different in a way that bugged her the whole time they traveled to the meeting place. Here they would do business with the Beast Hunter's Guild whom, as it turned out, Oka was a member of.

Zanya had vaguely known about them herself, only ever hearing stories about them or reports of their activity. Hunting animals for sport wasn't appealing to her, but thankfully this job they had in mind didn't involve that; at least not unless it was optional. Apparently they just had to play delivery boy and bring contracts to someone or other for the Guild itself. Obviously the details were still vague but Zanya expected to hear more once they arrived.

After a trip through hyperspace the Obsidian dropped out into space around the planet Sneeve where the Guild's headquarters ship was situated in. It surprised Zanya that an entire guild operated from just one large ship as opposed to an actual base somewhere. Looking at it from the ship's windows did, however, make it seem a little more imposing than she suspected.

When the ship docked Zanya had Clunk, her atrsomech droid, stay behind to keep an eye on things while she was suited up in her Mandalorian Death Watch armor. However she left her helmet off and carried it as she felt since Oka knew these people there would be a little less chance of hostility or the like.

As she went from their ship to the other Zanya asked "Alright, so what's the Mrrew guy like? You ever meet him? Just let me know now before I tick the guy off for mentioning he has a scar or a funny nose."

[Mrrew]

The usual silver-plated protocol droid that always awnsered the door, so to speak, for the Guild's buisness partners was awaiting them at the airlock, holding a tray filled with refreshments; cookies, tea, coffee, and the like. "You are [member="Zanya Reeza"] and [member="Oka Osaa"]? Mrrew's office is this way." The formalities that usually accompany protocol droids were lost with the lack of memory wipes in this unit, though it was perfectly capable of leading a pair of guests to an office, while carrying a tray. He led the two through a corridor or two, and eventually paused in front of a large blastdoor next to a control panel. A dark brown stain stood out against the white on the oppisite wall from the blastdoor, looking very much like dried blood. In reality, it was simply coffee that had never been cleaned from the wall. Coffee used to scour the face of a bounty hunter, yes. But still coffee.

A moment later, the blastdoor slid open, and the protocol droid stepped aside. Within the small office was a large Togorian in a larger chair, sitting behind a desk the size of a queen-sized bed. The Togorian smiled at the two, accidently showing off fangs the size of a human's hand, and gestured to the two slightly oversized chairs that sat on the other side of the desk from him. "Welcome to the Guild headquarters."

So another another job was up but with his faction. It seemed weird at first but he just went with the flow and told Reeza about it. Oka didn't bring his ship because of numerous reasons. Some that made sense and some that didn't. That left him with riding in the Obsidian. Upon leaving the Obsidian, Reeza asked something what seemed funny to Oka. "Just don't call him kitty, that's all you need to know. He's a good guy and good business man to me." he said as they continued to walk. Once they gotten to the office, he was surprised. He had never seen the office before. Okay, a few times but he guess he forgot what it looked like.

The first thing Zanya had done when the droid arrived with food was take a handful of cookies and eat them as they made their to [member="Mrrew"] 's office. She didn't know what to expect which made her a little nervous, especially given how grand and yet foreboding the ship seemed; at least to someone not a full fledged hunter like the others. It wasn't until they reached his office and seen the Togorian in person that Zanya had swallowed the last cookie with a nervous gulp. It wasn't just the fact that this was her first time dealing with one of his species but the fact everything was so big in his office. It made her feel almost like a child meeting with a school principal. When they were offered a seat Zanya sat down in the chair, taking a moment to notice how huge it all was, before looking to Mrrew himself.

Playing it cool she commented "Nice decorator you have. So you're Mr. Mrrew. Osaa here tells me you're one of the best hunter's in the Guild, or else you wouldn't be running it. But then again, now that I see you in person, I can see why." She finished with a little smirk, letting both of them make of it what they would.

When Oka stepped inside his office, he first nodded to Mrrew and sat down. He didn't really need to say anything since Reeza was the leader here but he did pay attension in case he needed to know anything.

[Mrrew]

Mrrew nodded at each of the humans as they sat. One he reconized, [member="Oka Osaa"], once of his hunters. The other, was new to him, but he believed when the meeting arranged it was said her name was [member="Zanya Reeza"]. "Oka, Zanya. Good to see you," He nodded at Oka. "And good to meet you," He nodded at Zanya. The Togorian laughed at Zanya's mentioning of his decorator, and looked around. In fact he'd decorated the room himself. Which is why there was almost nothing in the room. His large chair and desk dominated a good half of the room, with the two guest chairs sitting oppisite of it, and a pile of books about hip high to a human sitting next to Mrrew's chair. Other then that the only decoration was a very large fly that seemed intent on buzzing around Zanya's head. "Now... onto buisness."

With the fly buzzing about her Zanya tried to swat it away while saying "Yeah....business." After at least getting the fly away she looked back to [member="Mrrew"] and said "So Oka hear tell me you want us for....delivery was it? Granted delivering things is basically what we do, but I'm curious as to what exactly it is you want us to deliver. It's always the finer details that make it easier to figure for payment."

[Mrrew]

Mrrew sighed. "Ah... I'll be honest, I am only slightly more informed then you are. To give you the basics; your employer, Aless Mnya, is looking to contract the Guild to erradicate a species of flora-fauna from Echidna; Aal'run flowers. I believe you're here to discuss details, deliver a contract, and then deliver thousands of the giant plants back to your empolyer, correct? I hope you have a large ship." The Guild had multiple huge ships used for beast transport, of course, but it seemed this clint wanted [member="Zanya Reeza"] to do it. All the easier.

 

[Zanya Reeza]

"Large enough." Zanya answered. "Though I'd like some info on these plants you want us to carry. Want to make sure if they're dead then they stay dead when I need to take them all the way back to Ms. Mnya." She leaned forward while hearing [member="Mrrew"] out about any and all info he gave on what they were transporting. She wanted to be sure about this job from every possible detail before letting any strange animals on-board.

[Mrrew]

Mrrew smiled. She had no idea what he meant. Oh, this was going to be funny. "Ah right... You haven't seen them." Mrrew pressed a few buttons on a little holo-computer on his desk, activating a hologram projector in the middle of his desk, and a holographic image of a Rancor appeared. "Wrong one...." Mrrew pressed another button, displaying a Jawa. "Nope..." An Exogorth. A Condor Dragon. Mrrew doing the Running Man. He quickly flipped off that one. Eventually, the slightly emberassed Togorian finally got the right picture. And the blue flickering image of a moving Aal'run Flower.

Upon watching [member="Mrrew"] try to handle the interface Zanya covered her mouth, needing to hide her giggling. She was suprised he didn't know how to work it when she could've done so easily since she was familiar with the technology. She wondered if it was because he usually had others doing it or the like. In any case, once the image great dragon-like plants appeared she leaned forward from her chair at the sight. These things, whatever they were, seemed both deadly and yet elegant at the same time. "Wow. So you want us to deliver these things? 'Dead' these things?"

 

[Mrrew]

Mrrew looked back to [member="Zanya Reeza"], and nodded. "Your employer seems to have no problem if they're brought dead, and no problem if they're damaged, which makes our job a lot easier. However, we also have to purge an entire pouplation from a planet.... Around a thousand, maybe a little more. I'll have as many of my hunters on it as I can spare. Your job's the easiest part: deliver compost to your employer."

 

[Zanya Reeza]

Leaning back in her chair Zanya replied "I see. Sounds easy enough. Not much on hunting, especially not something like these things, but transporting a few dead bodies should be easy. Now what about payment? What are you offering?"

[Mrrew]

Mrrew blinked. He was supposed to pay her? He was still confused as to why the client even wanted to have her own people transport the beasts, but if she wanted to that was none of Mrrew's buisness... But she wanted him to pay her delivery girl, too? "Erm... what exactly did your employer tell you when debriefing you about all this? I don't think neither of us know as much as we should."

"Sorry. They were vague about it. In fact everything is pretty vague a this point. Look, forget it. Will do the job but just tell whoever has the money to have it ready for us. Keep it square and you'll get your fancy dragon planet pelts. Or whatever it is you get from a plant dragon thing." She stood and reached over the desk to hold her hand out for [member="Mrrew"] to shake. An indication if they had an agreement of not.

 

[Mrrew]

Mrrew blinked. This was getting really confusing... It was almost like one of those holomovies where some crime syndicate was playing everyone. ... ... Was Alnee Myna with the Red Ravens? Mrrew rubbed his forehead. Now he was getting paranoid. The Togorian looked up at [member="Zanya Reeza"], to see she was extending a hand to shake. "Ah." Mrrew stood, lowering a hand large enough to crush Zanya's head like a grape to shake the human's hand.

 

[Zanya Reeza]

Zanya flinched at the feeling of her small, delicate hand being squeezed by [member="Mrrew"]'s over-sized paw. She felt like a child meeting a strong man and he didn't know his own strength. Once they finished she pulled her hand away, opening and closing it to make sure it was still working, before turning to Oka and indicating they were done for now. With that she started walking towards the door and back to the Obsidian.

[Mrrew]

The same droid was waiting at the door for her, to escort her through the corridors back to her ship. This time, however, his tray was laden down with fresh baked cookies of Mrrew's favorite type, that he had the protocol droid bake every time a buisness deal was going on- to celebrate if it was sucessful. As they walked, the droid offered the tray of pinkish cookies to both of them.

Meanwhile, after they'd left, Mrrew sat back down behind his desk, and started typing up the order for the monster roses, snacking on a plate of his favorite salmon-flavored cookies.
