Make Me A Jedi!!! ... Please?

Miarta

The Stereotypes of the Past Shall Never Define Me
Miarta stared nervously at her datapad for several minutes before finally bringing up the app she needed. She slowly punched in the number, hesitating for several minutes before hitting the call button. She waited impatiently for the ringing to stop and someone to answer her. It had been a month since she had been rescued from that strange ship out on the edge of the galaxy along with that other mysterious person. She had decided after meeting another Jedi who did not immediately despise her, that maybe it was worth a shot after all. The ringing finally stopped. Miarta didn't even wait for the other person to speak before blurting out her request. "Can you meet me on Coruscant? I want to be a Jedi." She said nervously, waiting for a reply.

Josh's phone had rang, under a strange number. "Sith Spit, not another prank caller..." he muttered as he answered.

"Listen, if this is a prank, Kaiden, I'm going to ring your damn.... Oh hey" he said, recognizing Miarta's voice. "Probably should have given me your number before leaving last time. Would have saved me the effort of thinking it was another prank" he said with a chuckle.

"Well, luckily for you... I'm... Practically always on Coruscant. I'm on Coruscant right now, so I can meet you at the starport" he said with a shrug. "See you there then?"

"Can we meet in another cantina... Sith pureblood running around highly populate areas of Coruscant? Doesn't sound like a good plan to me. I'll be in a cantina down in the... less pleasant parts of Coruscant," She told him, waiting patiently for a reply. She was already in said cantina, sitting in the corner dressed the same way she had been when they first met. She was excited at the possibility of seeing him again. It had been a few months since they had met on Naboo and she had honestly expected him to forget about her. She was genuinely surprised that he recognized her voice.

"I suppose" he said. "Wouldn't have expected anything less. Look for the scary woman in the scary mask, got it" he said with a laugh. "Be right there"

Click.

With that, he hung up. Straightening his Jedi robes, different from the casual attire he'd worn on Naboo, he walked down to the... Lesser in terms of pleasantry parts of Coruscant. Not his favorite place. Amongst the dirty looks, he found the cantina. Walking in, he looked around... Looking for the masked woman.

Miarta was seating the far corner of the room. Wearing the same black outfit she had on Naboo. She was drawing in her sketchbook again while she waited for her friend. As always, a mug of tea was sitting on the table in front of her. She looked up and noticed Josh. The Jedi stood out quite a bit among the drunks and spice addicts that normally populated the tavern. She waved him over to the table, smiling slightly. She was happy to see him.

He smirked a bit as he noticed her, before taking a seat beside her. "Well well, and here I thought you'd forgotten about me" he said, giving a small laugh. "I've... Already spoken to the Council. You're free to join whenever you like" he revealed. "I'm serious, it checks out. They have no problem as long as you haven't had a past with the Sith. You can join up whenever you feel up to it" he said, relaxing back with his arms used as a pillow for his head.

"Really? Can we go now? Will you be my teacher? Does this mean I'll get to travel with you?" The questions rushed out of Miarta's mouth before she could stop herself. She smiled happily and jumped up to hug him. "You're amazing Josh! Thank you so much!" Miarta giggled happily as she bounced up and down excitedly. She really was just like a child when she got excited. She continued to smile up at the Jedi as she waited for a response.

((Wrong account by accident...))

He smirked a bit, hugging her. He wondered if the jokes and flirts from before were appropriate, considering her now childish nature... Perhaps he'd tone down some. "If you want me to teach you, I can" he said with a shrug. "As for travelling with me... While you're welcome to come with me at times if you wish, it's not a requirement" he explained.

Force sakes, she was a bundle of energy.

"Well then get used to having me around! I want you to teach me and I wanna travel with you." She told him, letting go and smiling at him. He had no idea how much of all of this meant to her. Ever since she had fled from Sith territories she had wanted nothing more than to become a Jedi. She was still bouncing around excitedly though, she no longer showed as much childish behavior as she had initially when he had told her she was cleared.

He laughed a bit. "I'll see what we can do" he said. "But regardless... Welcome to the Order, Miarta"

"Hopefully nobody will look at you and scream in terror" he joked, tickling her a bit. Half as a regular joke, and half to try and calm the woman down. A grown woman was bouncing up and down in a cantina in the lower regions of Coruscant, SOMEONE was going to take notice.

"So, shall we go?" he asked.

"Okay! .... If you're gonna be my teacher.... Does that mean I can't get away with calling you Josh or Mr. Jedi anymore?" She asked jokingly. She stopped bouncing around but she was still smiling and giggling happily. She laughed a bit when he tickled her and glanced up at him. She had never met a Jedi who was so ready to accept her, he was definitely a welcome change.

He smirked a bit. "Actually, that's Grandmaster DragonsFlame to you" he said with a chuckle. "Some things have... Changed since you saw me last" he admitted, scratching his head. "Obviously I can't be travelling as much anymore, so you're lucky I found you when I did" he admitted, taking a breath.

"But yes, while I'm cutting down on taking Padawans to make room for my own work, I could probably put aside some time for you" he said. She was quite a... Unique one. One moment she was serious, another she was childish. It was an odd combination.

"So you'll really be my teacher?" She asked, with a voice full of child-like enthusiasm. She was beyond pleased, and she was even happier that he would be her teacher. She didn't exactly feel comfortable with someone else teaching her. Josh may have been willing to accept her, but she was still weary of others.
(should be Miarta sorry)
