Make a Mando Out of You

Cyran listened to her little crash course on why he probably shouldn't be working for the Sith Empire. "Well like, I kinda knew that. I just keep myself out of the political workings. And uhh, I'll be going against the Jen'ari. It's some kind of Sith civil war or something." He replied, having felt a little uneasy from seeing her more blank expression. It not really being something he saw on her before. After speaking he let out a bit of a nervous cough.

From what she was saying it sounded like even a Mandalorian child could give him a real run for his money considering how much is expected of them. From where he was from no one really put that much expectation on someone. The most his parents wanted from him was to simply have a good life. Perhaps they would've preferred he take a more artsy occupation.

"Well, It's nice to know there's still a chance for guy like myself to become Mandalorians. Since being born into it isn't mandatory or anything." He said back to her comment on his induction being a little more unorthodox.

A civil war? okay strange? What would lead the Sith to be fighting one another, not that it mattered if the Sith were killing each other all for the better, "try and make a list of how many people you kill for me". Would serve as a nice little memento but also give her an idea of the mans combat capabilities, this would be Cryans first fight as a married man. "Again no need to be all scared, like I said it's fine, just wanted to make sure we were not going to be trying to kill each other on the battlefield, again".

"Born a Mando, well they had to come from somewhere, but again it is nothing new, clan Australis has accepted Echani, Zabraks and so on and once again, I am an Alor, so the clan will not really oppose this decision". She gave him a more warm reassuring smile, giving another back pat, "well perhaps we should continue training no? got to have you all ready and prepared for this war against Sith". After all bounty hunting and full on war with hundreds of men and equipment were vastly different.

Cyran let out a bit of a laugh at her comment about if they were to accidentally butt heads, in more ways then one, again on the battlefield. "That would certainly be unfortunate for the two of us. I guess we could look into each others work every now and then to make sure something like that doesn't happen."

Despite his ability to fight, Cyran never really taken anyone's life before. So the though to doing so during the war was unnerving to him to say the least. He never took bounty's that were wanted dead, and he mainly just dealt with slavers and kidnappers. Back when they first met that was still the case. Even during their fight he never made a move to try and kill her. Perhaps she was gonna see an end to his squeaky clean record of less than lethal behavior.

"Uh, yeah sure. What do you got next in store for me sweetheart?" He replied to her question about continuing his training. He really didn't mean to get all side tracked and start talking. It's just that this was still a pretty new world for him and he was still learning. But it was all working up to his dream of becoming a real Mandalorian.

She gave a small nod "yes would make things easier, I've known of a few mercenary groups that didn't always keep the best contact with one another and found themselves fighting each other in some wars". But in their case it was marriage, something much more important than a simple mercenary contract with a group of some sort. That and she had a reputation to keep, very rarely did Chekita leave her foes alive on the battlefield, unless they proved to be a formidable opponent, but in this case Cyran had a way to go before he could be considered her equal.

"Hmmm well your shooting can hail until later, but I think we should move onto hand to hand combat, that seems to be quite the problem with you, if our little duel was anything to go by". "Only one little headbutt put you to sleep, gonna have to fix that, make you strong and toned like me, give you some nice abs and thigh muscles". "So we will start of with basic muscle building exercises, how many push ups can you do"? The basic but best way to make your arms stronger, something she did every morning along with sit up and running.

"Yeah, well that little head butt left me with a pretty bad black eye afterwards." Cyran commented, but she certainly had a point. Being a bit of a zeltron pretty boy he didn't often want to put himself on the line, physically that is. It seemed as thought this was just another thing he needed to get used to the more he got entrenched into Mandalorian culture.

But he also had to agree that his constitution as something that as gonna need some work as well as his strength. The thought of it made him wonder if he would've gotten more attention back home if it was more of a focus of his growing up. Since it didn't seem like learning music had helped him very much. Especially not when it came to combat.

"Hmm..." He had to think on the last time he did pushups. "The last time it I did it, it as around 50 I think. Which I know isn't really much at all. But it was for a little bet me and my friend did, and was more of an endurance test. Since I as just trying to tire them out. Though it was pretty easy, so I think I could easily do more." He said, pretty much thinking out loud at this point. "So, maybe 75 if I really tried" He really wasn't sure if that was good or not for someone he didn't work out as much as he should.

"Awww, does it still hurt? you want me to kiss it all better for you", she semi mocked him though actually asking to make sure she hadn't actually caused any major damage to the mans head. She had never really checked up on it their first meeting devolving into well they both knew, perhaps she should have made better sure of her husbands head before training today.

She put the thought to the side, listening to him talking about his physical strength, it was kind of laughable to be honest, herself having to stifle a small giggle. "Only 75, hmmm we will have to work on that, I'll have you doing 150 soon enough, along with 150 sit ups and squats to round things off, gotta get those caffs and chest all toned up". Walking over to a mat she beckoned the Zeltron over, "lets start with pushing you to limit, give me as many push ups as you can, then we will do some sit ups" "When you tire out I'll have my own go, gotta keep these muscles up too, can't spend all my time training you".

"Hey now, just be glad I didn't get knocked for that whole night, otherwise you would've been very lonely." He said with a sly smirk and slight chuckle. "And no, it doesn't hurt anymore." He added, considering that she hadn't seem to take the time to really check up on him, being all too eager to get a new husband. It wasn't like he was innocent in contributing to any rash decision making with his pheromones.

Then he caught a hint of some kind amusement from her after stating his lack of much physical strength. It wasn't too hard with her own expressions and his emotional telepathy to tell how she was feeling. He rolled his eyes before she spoke, having a feeling he knew exactly what she was going to say. 150 sounded a bit of a steep incline from 75, in fact it was double.

Walking over with her to the mat he knelt down on it as she spoke, and looked up to her. Cyran was most certainly not the most physically excellent zeltron back home. Especially since most if not all of his friends worked out to look as good as they could to find as many mates as they could. Meanwhile you had Cyran who liked playing musical instruments and duels with his blaster, on stun mode of course. "Okay, but I want you to keep count it's too distracting when I try to." He replied, resting his hands on the mat he began to lift himself up and down. Making sure he aligned his elbows with his shoulders every time. Not wanting to embarrass himself in front of her he'd make it to 96 pushups before throwing in the towel.

"Oh don't be so sure about that, true you would have been asleep but I am certain certain parts would be wide awake". She made no real effort to hide what part of the body she was referring to, glancing down a bit before getting back to the task at hand. "Nice to know you are not brain dead too, now chop chop show me your physical endurance outside of the bed room". Her smile stayed the same as she awaited Cryan to get down, herself kneeling over the man, watching with anticipation eager to see and maybe be entertained by his attempt.

"Sure sure, now.. begin, 1, 2 3..." She counted slowly as the zeltron slowly lifted his body up and down, her head bobbing in time with each push up. It was interesting to see someone else train for once, usually such events being an alone thing for her, as Cryan had said, distractions an all that. As the exercise went on she added small words of encouragement too, noting the man starting to tire and become slower. "Come on keep it up, don't stop just yet". It was probably a little childish but fun never the least.

Now just when Cyran thought that her kissing him after he became knocked out as weird, she just took things to a whole other level. He would give no comment though. Deciding to personally take it as some kind of twisted compliment. Even thought he thought they would be working on strength it seemed like endurance was actually the way forwards. Which made more sense, if he wanted to do push ups and work on strength then diamond push ups would be the way to go. But he wasn't going to even entertain that idea.

"Grrr!" He groaned as she tried to encourage him on. He wouldn't focus on making and witty comebacks since he was busy focusing on his rhythm and breathing. But to say it didn't help would be a lie, in fact it could be what allowed him to just pass the 100 mark before he let his arms give out beneath him. Rolling onto his back he looked up at Chekita. "Let me guess, If I was a real Mandalorian I'd be working up in my armor?" He said, which didn't really feel like a dumb question to him. After all it was super important to the culture and probably aided in giving a more strength based exercise. "Also if you plan on one upping me I better not see you do any girl push ups." The zeltron added, but he felt like she wasn't the kind of person to settle for that kind of technique.

She could see the strain in his body as the push ups reached 100, Chekita giving a warm smile as her husband finally gave in and flopped to the floor, it was a little humorous to see. "Armor? don't be silly, you never wear fully dected out armor for training, you train like this to build up your body for when you wear armor so it isn't a burden". "You train physically like this, then you wear the armor and do mock battles and spars, exercising with full on armor would just be hard and uncomfortable, wind up doing more harm then good". Not that one could replicate armor weight with certain types of clothing, but the whole sense on going to the gym in beska was quite silly.

As the zeltron lay on the ground Chekita took her outer armor off, getting down to the basic body glove that she wore underneath. With a crack of the neck and finger she started to get on the floor and begin her own round of push ups, looking at Cryan with an eye roll, "don't worry I am not going to copy you, also count for me, I can do it myself but I want to hear the change in your tone of voice". Laying on the floor the Mandoliran started her round, pushing herself all the way up and down, going at a steady pace, breathing in and out in controlled intervals.

After she explained it he did feel rather dumb for bringing up the idea of wearing armor while exercising. Case in point, she stripped off hers now before she started was going to star her own round of push ups. As she got down to the floor he began to sit up and watch her. "Copy me?" He asked, before realizing what she was replying to what she said. "Oh, I see." He said with a bit of a laugh.

He wasn't entirely sure why she wanted to hear his voice. Did she just wanna hear how winded he still was? Perhaps she wanted just wanted to hear her husband's voice while she did it? Nonetheless he'd count along. "Alright, well show me how the pros do it. 1, 2, 3,..." He counted, feeling confident that she was going to pass him by at least 50 push ups considering that's where she wanted him. "25, 26, 27,..."

He'd watch on as his clearly more fit wife wasn't showing nearly as much if any sign of struggle. "50, 51, 52..." Considering how competitive she was she was during their fight, and even a bit afterwards, by the time he gets into shape he could see her always wanting to one up him. He figured that all he could do was try and become at least her equal some day.

Chekita didn't say anything more to her husband as she began the push ups, just concentrating on doing her usual set, and maybe some more later on, no point in just doing one type of exercise. She continued to smile as Cryan started to count, in no time the women passing the 50 mark with no sigh of stopping any time soon, only a small amount of sweat running from her forehead. It seemed that the newly wed couple would be spending a lot of time in this particular room, such a day only being the beginning of a long journey to make a new Mandalorian.
