PRE-SERVICE HISTORY
Vernon Augur Hectis was born the third son of a wealthy noble family in the Tetanne state of Adumar. As the third son of the family, Vernon's inheritance was pretty much nonexistent. His elder brothers were near perfect health and quite well known throughout the state for their triumphs and victories against their enemies, nearly solidifying their place as heirs of the house. Vernon decided his time would be best spent self-investing.
From a young age, Vernon had shown a great interest in honing his blastsword skills. This lead to Vernon searching for a master to train him. Eventually, Vernon came across Jeru Kral, a veteran known well across his home state. It was through this man that launched Vernon onto the path he is onto now. It is unknown to other Adumari citizens that Jeru is a veteran of the First Order. It is a secret he kept his entire life for fear of being prosecuted because of choices made by the First Order in the past when they were ruthless and warmongers. He did not always agree with his superiors, but it was his duty as a soldier to comply. Vernon only discovered this secret by accident while training in the home of Kral by finding his hidden stash that contained his old trooper gear. When Vernon asked about it, Kral explained his story to him. At first, Vernon was confused as to why he would hide his military service from others, but eventually came to understand.
Later in life, Vernon left his home planet for reasons unknown to any of his family. In truth, he left in search of a future in military service. His travels took him to Dosuun and the First Order, much like his mentor. He enlisted into the First Order Naval Academy and came out a junior officer almost a year later.
