Rationale:
Magrath Industries began as a small company using the name Magrath Textiles at the time of its conception. It has since then; from its rural beginnings, developed into a larger industrial powerhouse that under the guidance of the Magrath Family, come to control the Avidon system in its entirety. Due to this being a family corporation, it has thusly been passed down from heir to heir. As such, Magrath Industries has come to the Baroness Raulyn Hawkshaw Magrath, when the previous own; her father Charlie Oakshott Magrath, died in a landspeeder accident with her youngest sibling.

Description:
Growing from humble beginnings, the brainchild of a long since dead member of the Magrath family; seeking to capitalize on the production of the vast tracts of land owned and operated by the Magrath family. It began as a simple company known as Magrath Textiles; which as the name suggest, produced textile goods from the vast crops grown on the Magrath plantation and other land holdings. Over time, as the Magrath family grew more powerful and became even shrewder businessmen, the company began to grow in size.
This growth as fostered by the collection of rival family lands, though the purchase and use of betrothals that ensured all lands became the property of the Magrath Family. Entrepreneuring members of the Magrath family furthered the expansion of the company through their own ventures tied to both the family and company. The discovery of mineral wealth on the neighboring worlds and more fertile growing conditions on others; furthered the expansion of and secured the power and wealth of the Magrath Family.
During the time of the Gulag Virus, the company boomed due to the systems closed door policy; ensuring that the only operating corporation in the system was Magrath Textiles. It was during this time that it quickly absorbed smaller competitors and was reorganized into Magrath Industries, which still stands to this day. Under its new name; the Magrath family has began to further boost the strength of the company by expanding its operations throughout the Avidon system, while also eyeing neighboring systems and markets to further expansion.
