This chapter summarizes who Madalena thought she was.
Madalena Antares and her twin brother,
Brayden Antares, were born on Coruscant 18.5 years ago to a middle class family. Their mother was a zoo keeper and their father was a police officer. Their childhood was a normal, filled with love they received from their parents, with no traumas of note happening at any point before they were 16.
Madalena and Brayden were fiercely close to each other, often electing to continue sharing rooms even after they began to grow up. They were each other’s confidants, and it was hard to separate them. One of the twins’ favorite past time was to create stories. Together, they weaved fairy tales that mostly centered around a magical place called Endelaan, in which they created many stories. Madalena’s focused on a Warrior Princess, and Brayden’s focused on her brother’s, the Sorcerer Prince. Despite the amount of hours they had spent plotting and elaborating the lore of their magical realm, they never told anyone about it.
Both twins grew up to be beautiful and social, having an easy time talking to people and establishing friends.
Only two traumas marked their lives. The first, at the age of 16, when during one of the many wars of Coruscant, their parents were murdered. The twins took this hard, and it was Brayden’s friend
Josh Dragovalor
that was there to be a pillar to them and help the go through this. Josh and Madalena became friends as well, and as time progressed, best friends.
It was slightly after their parents’ death that the twins discovered they could wield the Force. Their anger and pain at their parents’ death carved a natural path for both of them to the Darkside. However, having a hard time to find trainers and mentors under the rule of the Galactic Alliance, their progress was extremely slow.
The second trauma came about during the events of End Game, when the twins’ home, which they had managed to retain after their parents’ death, was completely destroyed. The two became refugees and fled on the shuttles of the Confederacy. Madalena decided to join them, but Brayden was unsure.
After a few weeks of simply surviving, the twins realized they wanted to do more than just be on Coruscant. Yet despite their closeness, each had different dreams and goals in life. Deciding that the destruction of their home was as good of a chance as any at starting a-fresh, the twins decided to split. Madalena would remain with the Confederacy and head Galactic East, whereas Brayden would go travel towards the Galactic West to see what he could find. They agreed to meet again on their 21st birthday. Madalena has sent and received word several times since then, but it had been two months since the last message she’d received from Brayden. However, she does not see this as strange, as not everywhere in the Unknown Regions, where Brayden is, has communication systems in place that would make it easy.
In the meantime, she discovered her parents had set aside some money for both her and Brayden, each of them receiving a sum that amounted to about a year worth of salary with the CIS. Madalena used half the money to buy herself a ship called the Nutcracker, and replenish her wardrobe and other things of necessity that she no longer had due to the destruction of her home with everything in it.
After the twins’ split, Madalena began to join various missions with the Confederacy to test her grounds. She became fast friends with a lovely blonde by the name of
Daisy Americus
, got a little bit more training, and eventually, recruited to the Knights Obsidian.
