GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Alua'an have long been a forgotten people, lost to the annals of time and expunged from the galaxy by the destruction of their home world. Ma'at is a relic of that past, a woman that lurks in the shadows, wrapped in the mystique of a lost civilization from a time prior even to their destruction, she stands at one hundred and seventy centimeters tall. Not a blemish can be seen on her face - when her face isn't at least partially obscured by a cowl - nor a scar present across the length of her body, despite her experience dealing with assassins and the like.
PERSONALITY:
An impenetrable fortress of solitude, Ma'at is a calculating woman with little romantic desire in her life. From the time she was raised as a slave on a forgotten planet to the day she was pushed into a carbonite bath in her early teens, the witch of a woman has harbored plans to establish her own form of order over the galaxy - despite being awoken thousands of years later into an era of absolute control and obedience as ruled by the Emperor. Capable of acting cold and cruel with one face, then turning and giving a performance of compassion and trust the next, Ma'at is a master of deception, aiming to unseat the Emperor and found a more micromanaged era by her own making.
Dossier
ALLEGIANCE(S): Order
RANK: Master
STRENGTHS:
  • Mistress of the Night - Ma'at Achlys' most terrifying aptitude is, perhaps, her great control and gift with the force. From a very young age she harbored this strength, nurturing this in secret even up until the moment she was shoved into a carbonite bath at the ripe age of eleven, only to be woken over ten thousand years later in a far more controlled galaxy, albeit woken by a nature rather than a woman as her Chaos-counterpart had. Where her counterpart had grown accustomed to using the force to assist others, Ma'at had grown up using it for herself, and did not hesitate to learn, and eventually master, the darker arts and more horrible side of it.
  • Mitosis Imposis - Though modern medicine and bacta treatments, with prosthetics, essentially allow anyone to live a normal life after slugthrower and blaster wounds with surgery and the like, Ma'at - and her Alua'an species - possess a heightened regenerative factor that performs leaps and bounds over that of humans. Losing a limb will still require a prosthetic - though re-attachment with surgical assistance could technically be possible - but wounds that are less than lethal are recovered from within hours to days completely.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Smoke and Mirrors - While the vain Alua'an is a physical beauty, she also weighs in at around 150 kilograms. This is due to the muscle density that overshadows that of a humans by quite the margin. While the muscle density, untrained physically, allows her to hold her ground when faced with a physical confrontation, it is also so dense that the flow of nitrogen, which her body requires for respiration, is hindered. While normally, outside of combat and physical exercise, this wouldn't be a problem, it means physical combat tires her out considerably, especially as she is not one to take to such a sort of combat regardless.
  • I am Night - The light, from a sun or star, is much more dangerous to Alua'an than it is to humanity. Unlike humans, whom might tan and eventually begin to 'burn', Alua'an lack much pigmentation and skip right to the painful red blotchy burning part. While they may be able to regenerate through this after escaping sunlight, this generally forces both Ma'at and her species to seclude either beneath heavy protective clothing or under the cloak of night.
