Concealability - The M58 Stinger II is both small and light enough to be easily concealed on a person (though it is not capable of being hidden from scanners). The weapon was designed in this manner to ensure that it lived up to the title of a true hold-out blaster.
High Stopping Power - Much of the internal components of the weapon are designed to provide as much of a punch as possible to make the next assailant think twice before making their move.
Discount - When an owner returns a spent M58 Stinger II to the manufacturer for recycling, they receive a voucher to purchase their next M58 Stinger II for a fraction of the original price.
Low Munitions - The M58 Stinger II is a hold-out blaster, not meant for a long drawn out firefight and thus comes preloaded with only ten bolts.
One-Use - When the last bolt is fired, the weapon is otherwise useless as there is no means to eject the power cell or gas canister to reload. Thus the weapon must be returned to the manufacturer to be recycled.
Point-Blank Only - The M58 Stinger II is only suitable for close-quarters and personal protection rather than a long-drawn-out firefight.
A continuation of a series of "pocket pistols", the M58 Stinger II is a compact Hold-out Blaster Pistol with a Chromium finish, meaning that it'll fit right in with the Galaxy's upper echelon or any business environment. Its small size is its predominant feature, ensuring that it is easily concealed on a person - and in many situations, a scanner is required to find the weapon on an individual. Though this size comes with the trade-off, in that its effective range beyond personal contact is useless; as befitting its classification as a Hold-out Blaster.
This size comes with another drawback, that being; the weapon comes preloaded with only ten bolts that can be fired - after the last bolt is released, the M58 Stinger II is worthless as it has no means for the weapon to be reloaded outside of the manufacturer. As an attempt to counteract this problematic weakness, the manufacturer provides individuals with a discount voucher for each M58 Stinger II that is returned for recycling; that can be used to purchase a new M58 Stinger II for a fraction of the original price. The greatest strength of the M58 Stinger II though is its high stopping power - in some instances, it has even been claimed to be capable of stopping a charging Wookiee (though we caution against testing this claim yourself).
