Strengths:

Description: The Alakaha elite fighters hitherto used by the ORC in elite units have proven to be liabilities in prolonged fire missions, so that the choice between two configurations is made available on its replacement, the Lyulka, one that either have a large bomb bay or a bomblet generator. It also features high speed and the speed-boosting SLAM, new cap drains, a new self-sealing hypermatter tank, and finally sensor-jamming EWAR equipment. However this configuration is not without its pitfalls: it offers no additional defenses beyond what an ordinary starfighter could provide, and its endurance configuration renders the craft vulnerable to bomblet generator overheat when used for about five minutes of continuous use, rendering it liable to explosion. In addition, when the SLAM is active, the craft's guns are taken offline thanks to the power drain of the SLAM. And it is also very easy to detect on EM/thermal sensors when the guns and/or bomblet generators are fired.

Just need a couple tweaks on this before I can move it along:
  • As this includes the Kirishima Cap Drains, please bump the Defense rating up to Moderate.
  • Per the verbiage of your weakness, please bump the SLAM Armament rating down to None.

[member="Darth Metus"] Since the bomb bay or the bomblet generator aren't taken offline, one can still drop ordnance when the SLAM is active; the rating when the SLAM is active is the ordnance only.

Plus the canon SLAM still allowed the Missile Boat to fire missiles, even though it could not fire its laser cannons while the SLAM was active.

In a dogfighting context, guns do not refer to the entirety of the armament; devices such as bomb bays or bomblet generators are typically excluded from what dogfighters call guns.

As for the defense rating: the hull is now more fragile than it used to be, so it's now back to average.
