Lumi spends most of her time in the lab, where she is constantly trying to do her best to make the galaxy a better place. When she isn't working to combat a disease, a genetic deficiency, or create a cybernetic implant to overcome a different malady, she is usually working on relief missions to the poor, sick, and weak. Often she has to be very careful on these missions, due to her compromised immune system.
On a rare moment where she isn't pouring her time, heart, and soul into helping others, she can be found doing art, listening to audio books, or finding other ways to learn. Her favorite forms are sculpture, haikus, and music. She also enjoys conversations, walks in nature, and scientific talk.

BIOGRAPHY:
Prologue
When Lumi was born it was immediately clear that she was very different from the other children. As she grew older that became increasingly obvious, not only was she blind but she was even different from the other blind children. She could see through lies, she was able to help people who were in pain or sad more than even the witch doctors. Physical touch alone for he was radically intense.
When she was seven, it became clear that her clan was terrified of the young girl. They had become convinced that a devil had come into their tribe to destroy them all. Her family moved away from the tribe, taking a secluded hut away from the rest of the tribe. Here Lumi's tender spirit got to be free from fear and pain of others, she was free from physical contact with others and lived several joyous years unharmed.
When Tel'Vern was brought in contact with the rest of the galaxy, Lumi was one of the few smart enough to being learning from the rest of the galaxy. At the age of 15, just a girl, she was sent out into the wide galaxy. Lumi took to the new world of knowledge like a fish to water. She was able to learn faster than most students, her telepathy finally aiding her instead of being a neusance. Over the course of six years, Lumi found herself in some of the most intensive training any being has been through. She learned Basic, earned her MD, a degree in physics, psychology, sociology, and has committed herself to life long learning.
